True, so GWG, lets just bring an army somewhere and then look out for events, that way we are prepared, but at the same time, it is the only army there, sooooo
Let's do that.

Editeditedit: we could farm experience from the armies going to the front lines, we could hang back in the battle, get xp and be a little bit less pathetic than two slap fighting puppies.
Putting that there for a particular reason

Speaking of, can we threaten people like them to give us stuff?
We should at least start of with some stuff, I mean really!
You can try.

I did consider starting you off as more than rag-clad peasants, or at least with an option to start off as a non-rag-clad-peasant, but those plans fell through. I look forward to the results of starting you off so weak, and may adjust that condition for next round if it seems there's a better starting point.

Of her past life, Nepthym only fully remembers the shadow taking it, and someone weeping over her body. But she can't remember his name...

When she tries, it brings pain-and her hand steals to the black mark upon her chest. A mark even the Gods couldn't heal-that reminder...a faint memory of a bitter loss. Sometimes it's pure torment, but most of the time she can will it away like a bad dream. She is strong. Always has been. The mission.

Yet, she wonders if that man is still somewhere out there. Her death was a tragedy, if only to him. Does he remember the one who was? Would he recognize the one who is now?

...

The Rah know war. It's in their nature. She may be smaller and slighter than the rest of her stout folk, true, but Nepthym has her own gifts. The other slip off to battle, blood boiling to be spilled. She moves off in the other direction, knowing she is not yet ready. Only a sliver of her former skill found it's way into her current heart. But, her hand aches to wield a blade once more. Just to feel the old, familiar sting. One more time.

Action: Head to Cakewalk sneakily-observe interesting happenings

Shinja Havoc slowly, slowly tries to get to an upright position. He struggles hard. Every single of his joints ache, including some he was sure he didn't even have. As soon as he raises his head, it feels like a supernova of headaches explodes inside his skull. He falls back down, onto his furs. As he notes, this is most likely in his commander's tent. This had to have been an hell of a night...

After another ten minutes, he has gotten up far enough to spy through the entrance. The sun is already setting. Shinja grunts and turns around to inspect the tent's inside for clues. It is how he remembers it, apart from a few empty bottles, and an already cold dish with bread, scrambled eggs and bacon on it, which he wolfs down hungrily. Searching a little longer, he finds his armor and gets dressed, finds the twin swords and their sheaths, affixes them to his belt and takes them out for a whirl... only to find himself cutting his fingers. That never happened to him until now. He decides to test his swordsmanship on a clay pot in one corner of the tent, but finds himself missing six slashes before cutting it only by chance.

Had he completely forgotten how to use these swords? That was impossible. What'd he tell the clansmen? He'd have to stay out of battle until he remembered how to fight, which could take a while. He'd be the sort of general he despised, the general who sat back and commandeered his troops from his tent.

Shinja took another look at one of the empty bottles, finding the label. Witchbane. Whoever had brewed that unholy contoction was due for punishment.

And after that, he'd inspect the battle. He was fairly sure he hadn't lost any strategist abilities.

Accompany troops to plains, inspect terrain.

Even a rag-clad peasant is physically capable of hurting or killing stuff. Why do we have no ability to damage anything?
When battles to the death between peasants are less dangerous than pillow fights, you have a problem.

Turn 1: Hospitality

Search for events.
But anywaygo with GWG, strength in numbers right? Bring along an army if that's possible
[3][1] Kaybull has a haunch of meat thrown at him out of contempt for his obvious weakness. Throokor finds himself bullied by three Bakerlings insinuating he should give them a gift.

[3] Nobody pays you much heed, but there doesn't appear to be much going on either. The quarry is manned by mainly Slags, with a fair minority of Bakerlings and a smattering of other creatures. It seems as much trading depot and finishing workshop as full quarry, with stone buildings housing all manner of great saws and similar gear.

You arrive just in time for the battle.

The ground your forces expect to hit the enemy's at appears identical to that which covers this place- perfectly flat and covered in a layer of dead brown grass. You suppose one place is as good as another, on terrain like this.

[6] They get you plastered. Maybe you looked like them or maybe you looked cute or maybe they're just really friendly, but they wouldn't let you say no to entirely too many kinds of cider. You wake up with a full clay jug of the stuff cradled in your arms, but where it came from you honestly couldn't say.

+Heartwarm Cider [Potion: +2 HP]
Must spend next turn in Murmuring Folk Village

Army
M to C0, G to C0
[3] vs [6], Guard wins!
Murmurs take 3 dmg, lose 1 infantry
+1 XP: Gardenia, Shinja

he looked at them, thought about his training as a worrier and a diplomat, he never liked diplomacy, to much talking for him but at the same time he couldn't deny it was certainly helpful at times.
point out the fact that I am, obiously a two face of war and diplomacy and not so subtly tell them they shouldn't mess with someone who has had master training in the art of warfare and diplomacy, also keep following GWG, might as well anyway

Attack the guys who insulted me. Use the meat as a weapon. Don't kill them, just rough 'em up a bit.
(There's no way they can have more Attack than a 1st-level adventurer, right?)

After that, find some less insulting events. Maybe locate a battle to join. Maybe that one in C0. Where do we find out where a battle is, anyways?
