There's also the fact that there's reports of inconsistent training, mconstantly changing guidelines, and inadequate protocols.

Also, the hospital that the Spanish nurse came from? It didn't even meet WHOs standards and reportedly had only 20 minutes training.

So, there's lots of inadequacies to go around, and not just the U.S.

The verdict of the union and CDC inspection, that hospital is MEGAFAIL with practices and training. For starters, duncans nurses kept treating others, he wasn't initially isolated, and now the hospitals chute system for sending stuff around may even be contaminated because the specimens from duncan weren't sealed or isolated.

tl;dr, they are so megafail that it's a good thing that Ebola isn't airborne or more contagious than it actually is.

Though if it goes airborne (and I don't mean airplanes), then we're screwed.

Like someone else said earlier in this thread, if we can't handle a slow moving bug like Ebola, then we definetly aren't ready for some bad fast moving bug.

Though the Dallas hospital isn't a big name hospital like Mt. Sinai in DC or Hopkins, the true test will be there, but even the local hospitals have to be ready :P

A second health worker in the US state of Texas has tested positive for Ebola, health officials say

Initiate panic mode:

Yes --/-- No

It gets better/worse:
2nd U.S. health worker with Ebola flew the day before symptoms

BAN ALL TRAVEL TO TEXAS  / SHOOT TEXANS IF THEY TRY TO CROSS THE BORDER

EDIT:
Some sources are also saying that Pham was wearing a hazmat suit while attending to Duncan.

Ebola Deathwave 2000 would make a great name for a cheesy 1980s film.

In Yurop we treat Ebola suspects with more care than in Africa.

SHOOT TEXANS IF THEY TRY TO CROSS THE BORDER

I'm sure a few people would find this idea deliciously ironic.

How much would I qualify for a creepy stalker/fanboy if I jumped between GUNINANRUNIN and greatorder, yelling at the top of my lungs "ONLY OVER MY DEAD BODY"?

Completely hypothetical question.

Now back to our regularly scheduled hype/depression: Special UN ebola fund grossly under-funded, world leaders express general displeasure, Colombia makes every one look bad.
