Luckily we still have parasites. Good news for all zombie-survivalists out there, their fun shan't be denied.

Cease the Ebola zombie sillyness ppl.

Lol

Also, if ppl are interested, here's a post apocalyptic pandemic comic which, while it isn't directly about zombies, well, I'm not going to spoil it for you.

I stop taking anything seriously as soon as I see American in the name.

"Ah, shit, the dead walk! I'd better put on a cowboy hat, a business suit, and a bright orange assault vest!"

"Help me! Oh god! Zombies! My only hope of survival is to wear a leather vest and cargo shorts!"

That would make a great forum game.

Egad! Zombies! FETCH ME MY ARMOUR, PEASANTS!

Wait, that one would actually be useful. Also for the people who wear camo fatigues, would those work against zombies? Well now that I think about it, it'd be worth it just so you don't get eaten alive by survivor Serbians.

medieval armor would be pretty 10/10

can't get your ass bitten through a solid steel plate or chainmail or what will you

only difficulty is them being able to rip it off somehow but that really depends on setting

camo doubtful though, zombies work mostly on smell as far as i'm aware?

Yeah, full plate armor would be pretty rad.

For zombies I mean. Who doesn't like canned food?

Also, there is no escaping survivor Serbs.

Imma just leave this here.
It's the host of 'Game Theory'* doing tests to find out what kind of weapon would work best against zombies.

I'd pick a machinegun.

Do you know that bullets from a good machinegun can tear off your arms?

If you could pick a machinegun, I'd go for this.

I mean, stick it in a fort or something with sufficient ammunition and you have an amazing anti-personnel weapon. Although, machine gun barrels tend to warp with use. Shotgun barrels tend to be more durable.

That's overkill. Generally, unless you're leveling a building, ship, or tank, you won't need more than the good old .50 cal. Or, if you go for the M1917 Browning, it also doubles as a water heater.

AA-12 is the way to go, if you have lots of ammo.

Alright, calling it right now, here's how it's going to turn into an apocalyptic scenario:

Texas is a lost cause. Ebola has spread throughout the state. A nuclear strike is called in. Russia and China see the missile launch and, without bothering to ascertain the target of the missile, fire their own nukes on the US. We retaliate, and the world blows up.

Fallout-esque ghouls are caused by mutated ebola. The mutated virus has infected everyone, but only thrives in high levels of radiation. It can only ghoulify you if you get exposed to lots of radiation on a regular basis.

The American Central-South is the area that is most survivable. The coasts got hit pretty hard, but the center states are only slightly affected. However, since they're the source of most of the nation's food, and they're getting all kinds of fallout from 3 directions, it's clear that they're not gonna last.

A large radius around Ground Zero is uninhabitable. The surrounding area is filled with ebolazombies, but is still being picked over by scavengers.

Now I wanna start a game based on the above fluff. I'll consider it after school and see if I have enough free time to do it.

Alright, significant news: First case of Ebola contagion in Europe, as opposed to bringing people with Ebola from abroad.: http://www.20minutos.es/noticia/2258248/0/hospital-de-alcorcon/enfermera/caso-de-ebola/
BBC version  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-29514920

I'm... somewhat more worried than I was. I still don't think a first-world mass outbreak is likely. But I don't want to be in contact with Ebola infectees, for obvious reasons.

I mean, that's all assuming that the zombies aren't made up of thinking muscle, in which case you'd probably need to use a rocket launcher.

Not even that, if the "... of the Living Dead" movies are any indication, as even the severed bits were able to attack(and infect?). Flamethrowers all the way.
