That was more or less what I thought you were suggesting.

Ah, another awesome game! So, can we rename the menu items to the suggestions that were in cheesecake's? And the others too?

Okay then, look here, guys... I've stayed in enough hostels and cheap dives in my day to know that you don't ever get ahead as an Innkeeper by being above the board. This apparent commitment to "being on the level" warms my heart, sure, but our arses will freeze without money to pay the heat. To increase our prospects as successful proprietors here, I'm advising that we reconfigure our business model in order to become a proper Thenardier. A Master of the House.

Spoiler: Our New Anthem (click to show/hide)

This change of posture would imply many things, of course, but as a good start we might to try out the following new strategies...

Rent-a-Twink
We get a loan and start a rental service bringing comparatively imbalanced weapons from the big city into the newbie starting area, and then renting them on a per-quest basis for those parties that need extra oomf in their arsenals for that one difficult quest, or simply need to speed-level past the starting area. Since we have contacts in the big city, and these "heroes" are a pack of clueless newbs from another land that always pop into our area like suckers, we are uniquely positioned to offer them time-saving deals that obviate the grind.

Sell the name
If you can't move the product fast enough, then move the name. For example, instead of Stale Bread, we can have Air-Cured Bread Crisps, aged lovingly for two or three days to give them a little extra snap.

Feel free to disagree, guys, but fame and fortune aren't going to come by honest means in this business.

Yay, PTW! (If you're wondering why the Innkeeper I'm running isn't being updated, it's cuz we started a new art project and I have to focus on it.)

To RangerCado: If you're wondering where I was planning to go from where I stopped in the original game, I'd gladly send the secrets in PM.

Is it a barley ale? or a rye ale? maybe even a wheat and hops ale?

If it is a barley ale get some barrels - we can refine it.

Day 2 (Things are looking up.)

As you all arrive at the Inn, you find a guardsman waiting outside. At first you all glance nervously at eachother, but as it turns out, the guard was just here with your daily resupply. He walks off as you restock your diminished food stores and prepare for the days work.

You question your siblings, if they have any skills they think may be of use but they still cannot think of anything useful. Carrack does however go to clean up one of the rooms for your hunter friends arrival later in the day. With everything seeming to be in order, you ask Horace to sell warm soup and cooked pork. ((With no prices given for them, I will make a luck roll)) (17/20 20/20) You determine quite fair prices for the two new items, adding them to the menu.

See if there is any way to improve the well, and also ask the soldiers what they think we could do to improve the place. Within reason of course. Remind them if they are hesitant, that their opinions would improve their experience at the inn for resupplying.

Also, find out what sorts of supplies we are able to order in the future if we wanted to increase our order (say obtaining beef, flour, yeast, etc.). Also, for the unknown siblings, switch them around, but keep the ones with prior skills where they are. Get ready for the day.
