Oh wow reading into the whole Lio thing is pretty interesting.
Anyway, if I'm reading this right it'll probably have scavengers around for a while, disassembling some smelter or something built under the city.
EDIT: So, my first impressions of this server were actually pretty upsetting. A lot of place are completely torn up for resources, I assume by newly spawned players, given the dirt scaffolding everywhere. I even found an NPC village, but with no NPCs, and the buildings were often half-dismantled by those looking to scrape together enough to survive. It's just intrinsically unnerving seeing all of these records of player activity, but all of it destructive.
Then later I found this place called Blackwatch Keep. It completely destroyed those previous feelings of there being only destruction. This thing was a huge sand-based tower built out of the ocean. And I mean right out of the ocean. A huge artificial island had been built up underneath, made of a mix of dirt and cobblestone. It must have been at least 100 blocks each direction just from that support alone. Then the actual tower itself was interesting. Rather tall, and looked unfinished. There were lots of walls missing, and rail-less balconies. The overall shape of the thing was cylindrical, but it had some steps to being narrower at the top, and also had an unusual irregularity to it's circular cross-section. Ridges and bumps along the whole height of the thing. And at the bottom was a simple two signs, probably the last remnants of a long-forgotten conflict:
"Got snitches, bitches?"
"You're fucking dead bitch. Caledonia is at war."
