Numerous alarms blared as the javelin pinned Shawsusque to the ground and spiderwebbed the glass on the cockpit, causing Aqi to freak out.
:"Shitshitshitshit GUYS I'm going to BLOW UP in maybe TEN SECONDS, SHIT SHIT SHIT HELP?"

[Nerjin]

"No! Shit shit shit! No!" Sacha shouted into the intercom "I'm coming Aqi!" Hastily moving Frollo into position she attempted to Heal Shawsuque.

"Someone get Dumbass too! I can't be everywhere at once!"

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Don't worry! ^Oh!Super Rooo_oooooougo is here to save the day!"

The heavily armoured robot lurches forward with its last repair kit to help the other downed bot. Which is to say, fix it enough so that it doesn't blow up and kill its pilot.

Aqi slowly wound down from his abject fear as Sacha began to fix his mech up.
:"AAA- a- aaa... th-thanks Sacha..."

Aqi stared in Cora's general direction, decidedly NOT having expected that.
:"U-um..."

Zis pulled its arm from Mefte's Argoth, the wards forming back into a half-cloak around its shoulders. Turning aside, the snake-like Argoth led its gaze directly onto Rust Sparrow.
"We will speak later. I expect answers." Chance's monotone voice sounded.

[Furtuka]

The cockpit of Bramble sprung open and Captain Flint climbed out onto the argoths chest. He looked up over the inner walls, where the Rust Sparrow was flying over as it descended to the ground.

"No, I believe its best if we get our answers now.

Long thin legs unfolded from the flying argoth's fins as it touched down, and the cockpit opened up to reveal Shayla, clutching what appeared to be some sort of orb, about a foot in diameter, to her chest. She nervously waved at the pilots and pulled a rope bridge out of the side of the hatch that she dropped and began climbing down.

With a pause, Zis knelt down on one leg to an angle where the cockpit could easily open. With a short mechanical clamour, the cockpit opened in a billow of smoke. Chance barely managed to stagger to his feet while clutching his head, covered in a number of small scratches and gashes.
: "Ugh..."

[Furtuka]

Flint walked over to Shayla who was still clutching the orb with her arm.

"I'm afraid we're going to need answers young lady. Why exactly were the Vedirans chasing after you so desperately?"

He gestured to the object she was holding onto.

"Was it that thing?"

"...yes" She answered, turning her head away from the captain's glare.

'I.. was out patrolling in the Sparrow when I came across their main force. I don't know how they got past the border, but there was a whole company out there. They were camped out by some old ruins north of here when I found them. I landed nearby and tried to sneak in to find out what they were doing."

"You what?!"

"It worked alright?! I went in and stole this thing from them! I think they dug it from the ruins. I don't know what it is, but it seemed pretty important. They saw me when I took it and only barely managed to get away. That's why the Sparrow was so damaged when you found me."

"They said they were looking for some sort of key. What is it for?"

"I told you, I have no idea what this thing does!"

Flint held out his hands.

"May I see it?"

The girl carefully handed it over to him after a couple moments.

"There's something engraved on it. These markings..."

He handed the sphere back to Shayla.

"You should bring this back to the castle right away. Whatever it is, if it's important enough for them to be sending this amount of force to bring it back then we can't let them have it."

"Alright I will. I will."

She pointed at Super Roguo and the Marauder.

"I recognize those two. I guess they're the ones who were sent to bring me back to the castle?"

: "Erh, a moment..." Chance spoke into the comms and attempted to stagger down a small ladder engraved in Zis' leg to the ground, approaching the two while massaging his temples consistently.
: "Miss. Did you pick up on any other clues as to who might have ordered that excavation?" Chance propped himself up carefully as he continued to rub his head, "Names, insignias, anything would help."

[Furtuka]

"Uh. There were a bunch of Argoths with an a image of what looked kinda like a purple eye impaled on a sword. Something like that."

Chance recognized it as the symbol of the Stormbreakers. An elite group of warriors led by the Vediran crown prince Iezel.

Chance's face flexed in surprise. He turned his head towards the Captain in a glance, then back to Shayla.
: "I see. That does narrow it down."

[USEC_OFFICER]

Kar butts his way into the conversation.

"^Oh! That's why we're here! To bring the girl to the place while fighting off Evil Doers! ^Yah! _{Right James?} So, uh, what's so important about these purple eye dudes? Are they villians? Traitors? Out for world domination? Villainous traitors out to conquer the world?"

Only God knows how Kar got hired as a pilot, let alone why he was picked to escort Shayla.

[Nerjin]

:"AAA- a- aaa... th-thanks Sacha..."

Sacha conspicuously ignores Cora's comment.

"Yeah, yeah... Don't expect a hug."

Sacha listened to the conversation after having exited Frollo.

"Traitors amongst traitors? Still... You killed some of them. I suppose we can see this through. Captain, permission to assist in the escort? This may just be the key to a weapon powerful enough to destroy all Abominations!"
