Raynor Casar, Royal Prince of Analysse, popular claimant on the future crown.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You begin to ask her for an explanation, and she opens her mouth to speak, but then lets out a sob, and moves closer to you.
Suddenly, everything becomes chaos. Behind you, you feel someone grab your arms, though their grip is hasty and unsecure. The lady pulls a long pin from her sleeve and lunges towards you with it. Fortunately, as soon as the metal touches your throat it snaps uselessly.
You hear blades being drawn, and the clash of steel upon steel. Someone at least, is aiding you, though you do not know who.
While you've proven fortunate, the danger is not yet over. How will you respond to this assasination attempt?

*while she's close grab her and try to wrestle her to the ground* We could also run but obviously she might know about the woman in the woods or who might be paying assasins on such a nice day to kill us.

Prince Raynor says coldly Ah nice little surprise you get their. You wouldn't happen to know someone important would you? You may as well tell me i don't plan on letting you go anytime soon. Simile evily

You feel angry. This woman would dare to try to kill you? You struggle to get out of your captors grip and get at her, but he has since gotten a better hold of you. You curse at him. The woman draws a small knife, and holds it out in front of her, clearly terrified. The man behind you shouts at her to "get it done with"
Meanwhile out of the corner of your eye you see the young nobleman who accompanied you and the womans servant bringing blades to bear against eachother. The courtier has the advantage, with a longer blade and perhaps better skill, and it takes only a few bare moments for him to score a hit, slashing open one of the servant's arms, letting a fountain of blood gush out.
The moment of victory is tainted however, when an arrow grazes your ally's ear, nearly taking it clean off.
Great, more assailants.

Get to cover, try to find a bottleneck to act as a funnel to a more numerous force. Also, punch/kick this person that is holding us in obvious weak spots like throat\gentiles.

There is obvious more then one party here, one that is trying to capture us alive, and other trying to kill us.

We're still being held, aren't we?

Assuming so, Kick behind us to catch the man holding us in the groin, use the distraction to struggle out. Stab the man and woman to cripple, not kill (perhaps we can interrogate them later). Take cover as soon as the people fighting us in melee are dispatched.

Acting aggressively you wrench around and kick your captor as hard as you can, the blow catches on his thigh, leaving him to grunt in pain and loosen his grip on you. To fully free yourself you elbow him full in the face, and are satisfied by the splintering of his nose.
You feel a pain in your back. Drawing your sword you whirl around to face the woman who -apparently- attempted to stab you. Faced with an armed adversary, she begins to run.
You hear a few things, a blade being drawn, the clatter of an arrow skipping over cobblestones, and a shriek from a nearby rooftop.

Looks like the city guard is getting involved now or there is some disagreement among the attackers.

No one is escaping us, use Force Magic to hit her in the back of the leg. Then try to get into a more defensive position.

Agreed she must NOT ESCAPE. Do that but I want to add that the prince should do it "GAURDS TO ME AND DO NOT LET HER GET AWAY!!" While we go after her. Keep on her no matter what.

fuck her shit up
we know the city, don't we? follow her, predict her path and cut her off, all while calling guards to help us on the way.

she has a knife right? just run after her and yell at her to stop and surrender. at some point the city gaurd will have caught up and we can apprehend her. or if she stops to fight we'll keep a distance and let her ware herself out. DO NOT SLASH HER TO PEICES!

dead menwomen tell no tales so we need her alive...beating her up could be a thing but it's not gentlemanly to beat up on ladies right? i wonder what the culture in the city is like.

Um, the woman's not a threat at the moment, and there may be other enemies. First check if there's any archers/swordsmen/other assassins that are after us and not currently occupied. If there aren't, THEN consider chasing the woman.

But isn't blind tacking rage the way to do things? besides were a harder target if were running and if we see someone with a  sword it'll be hard to identify them or not as assasin, civilian, noble, gaurdsman, or even traitor. btw what did happen to that man who was with her?

One magically grabbed us from behind, her, and the old man behind her. where's he?

He was wounded by your nobleman companion when you last saw.
No one magically grabbed you from behind, they grabbed you from behind with their hands, they are still behind you.

I meant mega sneaked. i think the guy behind us is down from what i know "Acting aggressively you wrench around and kick your captor as hard as you can, the blow catches on his thigh, leaving him to grunt in pain and loosen his grip on you. To fully free yourself you elbow him full in the face, and are satisfied by the splintering of his nose." isn't going to want to grab us again.

He's either gonna have to take out a weapon or run while he can. Okay so: 1 guy downed by our noble friend, 1 girl running away with a dagger, an archer that shot our friend {an shot also because of the "shreik", and one from behind with a broken nose.

I still say go for the girl she might have a good connection with the swamp thing where someone mind controlled us.
