However, can we trust her? remember that it was a woman in the woods that tried to kill us. This could be her and well...maybe i'm paranoid but her looking at our library could expose our secret. Maybe we should try to make her a vassal/freind instead of a wife.
That's why we befriend them first, see if they're good, then pop the question.

I just hope we can make her and the knight commanders dauther our freinds...and not have some weird love square like in some anime.

That's only a triangle, 3man. Unless even more women fall for us.

No. I'm sure we already tried as hard as we could without coming across as creepy to bring her along.
Sounds true enough i guess.

We don't want her as a wife. We want to use her to help our friend finish his task so he can travel with us, and are being manipulative bastards to get what we want. I don't think you understand how much power we will have over women and their fathers until we are publicly betrothed. Nobles will want to marry their daughter/themselves off to a Kings son and potential heir to the throne, and may be willing to do all sorts of things for us if they think it will help their chances...

Also, we have a brother who is known to dabble in magic, and we are a known intellectual of sorts. Us having magic books would not be that much of a dead giveaway.

whoa whoa whoa, manipulating girls who are infatuated with us is a recipe for having some very scorned women to make our life hell when they find out they're not marrying us!

thread carefully my friends, thread carefully. there is nothing more dangerous than a womans wrath.

No manipulation of people at this age. This is when we should be building long lasting friendships that may one day save us. We should try get to know her better and see what different schools of magic she knows. Our next rp should be with out vassal and the sea mage.

Ecactly what Tal said. We had a woman in the woods with special/rare telephatic abilities {who could have been sent by anyone we've met or NOT} and i don't think we need more. Maybe zuhkara but come on we don't want anything from her do we now? Maybe get lyllah married to our brother william since their magicky people but that's all i can think of. Our girl should be the duches liona. Her dad has a problem with bandit barons we can deal with {and then reward ourselves with} and other nice stuff. Read this from  one passage: "The second is the third daughter to a Duke, you've met her a few times and found her to possess a biting wit and a skillful grasp of scholarly matters, and she is already growing to be a beauty. Her father controls a Duchy that borders both Adalbert and the Bandit Baronies, which has necessitated a strong military force on his part, he provides a large portion of the nations heavy cavalry, and his father before him established an academy for the training of warmages"

We need that kind of stuff and as nice as the other could be they pail in comparison. Agreed on target gents?

Ya but this marriage stuff is done at this age back in these times right? I mean i'm going of CK2 but i'm sure historical accuracy is not far off. Plus i fear if we don't find someone our father {or that concubine mother via our father} will find someone for us.

You're not wrong, betrothals came really early back in medieval/renaissance periods. Which I'm assuming is roughly comparable to when we are here.
However, we don't have to worry about our father arranging it later. Being a male, we have some --albeit limited-- say over any arranged marriages planned for us.

Unless I'm wrong about the timeframe we're existing in.

Try not to get yourself a bunch of future enemies with all of this foolery. What if there is someone else who likes the people we like?

You gesture at her quiver. "For a missile launching cantrip I presume? A handy little trick for a warmage to have."

She chuckles a little. "Right now it's my specialty, I can launch a bolt straight through wood given enough concentration, though I havn't quite gotten the trick of keeping it intact as it passes through.

You nod, acknowledging her. You are certainly unable to manage such a feat currently."So I have something of a favor to ask you, and I think I have something I may give you in return. I know that you won't be able to join me on the trip after the wedding, which is a pity, but i'm sure you are quite busy with your studies."

Her smile saddens a little. "I would come if I could, but sadly i'm quite busy learning the particulars of a new school of magic, and it's a sensitive portion of my studies."

"I can understand that, it's best to do what one can to become as skilled as one may be. Enough skill, and possibilities in all manner of things open up, there is nothing to improve status quite like skill." You smile lightly. "Anyway, i'm sure you are familiar wish Isvan, i'd like him to be able to come with me after the wedding, but he has some enchanting that needs doing for him to be able to leave. I'd be quite happy if you could spare some time helping him with that. If you do, I can arrange unrestricted access to the royal library for you while I am gone, there's quite a bit of interest there in the ancient tomes."

She beams, "really? That... that would be wonderful! i've heard of some of the unique books there, and it would be great to get a look at some of them!"

"Then we are in agreement?" you reach out your hand, and she grasps it in both of hers.

"Yes! Yes of course. I'll do what I can to help your friend."

With that done with you say your goodbyes, and retire to your room. You read until nightfall, and then fall asleep.
You have dreams, very poor dreams. You see armies full of men who will not return home march, and their limbs have speed unnatural. You see cruel men on thrones, looking down on masses they view as nothing but cattle. You see pots of steel burst apart, leaking molten gold. You awake with one last image burned into your mind, a dead man wearing the skin of barbarians, sneering down upon you as you lay trapped beneath a horse.
When you awake it is not quite yet daybreak, and you find yourself unable to return to sleep. Never before have dreams disturbed you so deeply.

Still over a week before your brother-to-be reaches the capital. You may find others to speak with you on whtever matters you like, or perhaps you have some skill you would like to hone before the wedding.
