((Its an automatic, sliding door... SC universe uses them everywhere. No Hinges, locking mechanism in the wall beside it on either side. Or either side above it, or same below it, or if your unlucky, all three. Designed to stop someone shooting the lock out.))

When we say 'sliding door' it's the metal ones.

{8+1} Nox gleefully slits the throught of the last technician in her room, and moves up with Smith, meanwhile Walker and Rune take the other side of the hallway. {7} Arca finds a linked terminal right in the room that the corpse that gave him the info was working in.  He enters the password, DAMN the security feed must be on a closed system, but you do get a whole heap of logistical data, you take the cream of the crop via a compact storage drive. Then Arca notices something, a Capital class ship, just finished construction, skeleton crew, getting supplies from this planet, will leave within 2 hours for Tarsonis to receive a full crew compliment.


While this is happening, Aurora questions the still living techies, but they are tight lipped. The breaching teams arive at the doors, Jackson {6} Manages to create a small burst of electricity, whoops good thing Arca was using the computer in the OTHER room. The breaching teams find the doors now unwilling to open, unlike the previous ones; it must be a feature of the alarm. They are too sturdy for even power armour to kick down, and there are no locks to open. They start moving back to cover, when the enemy force finally arives There are a pair of fire bats in the lead {1+1+1} Welch pulls the trigger, but every bullet misses. The fire-bats move closer, behind them are 10 marines, and you think you see a Goliath behind them.

Welch has a chance to get another Shot off {5+1+1} this time he hits, it blasts into the tanks of the first firebat, releasing the volatile vapours, which ignite and kill the poor soul, but it only does superficial damage to the other, one marine caught in the middle takes a round to his head. {6+1}{10}{9}{1} Walker, Nox and Smith all make it back to cover, although Smith falls flat on his face once he gets there, but rune is not so lucky, he stuples over barely half a meter away from the door he was attempting to breach, the Confederates get in range of him {10} the firebat gets him in one, roasting him good, but also completely empties his tank, the remaining bogeys will be in range of the cover next turn.

"Huh," Walker remarked to himself, glancing at the stain that constituted Rune's remains. "Maybe there is a God." He champed his bit, switching over to Jackson's frequency. "Jackson, you know how to make a spitball*?" Goliaths didn't go down easy, but it could certainly be done.

Highball a frag grenade down the corridor, time it for a detonation at just above head height.

*Spitball: Term I just made up for an impromptu sticky grenade created from a normal grenade wrapped in an amount of plastic explosive.
