Sort of, but I've only seen three seasons.  Working up to being current.

The new episodes from what i have seen suffer from the first 4 seasons getting all the good plots and the best jokes.

I don't think it was the best ending the show could have had, but I did enjoy it.  It managed to borrow the emotion of the accidental series finale "The Devil's Hands", and even though it wasn't as funny it was still endearing.  And managed to work in some genuinely intriguing science-fiction concepts with the time aspects, which is what I always liked about Futurama.  I just wish it was about more than Fry and Leela.

I noticed a lot of people saying they were disappointed in the last few seasons because they weren't as 'funny' as the original run and were laden with topical pop-culture jokes.  Apparently these people didn't notice that Futurama had over a hundred episodes before it was canceled the first time, maybe half of them actually memorable, and all of them chock full of what were topical references a dozen years ago.  I thought the last few seasons were just as entertaining as the old ones.

I thought the last episode was hilarious, personally, and a good way to end the series. The nature show one, right?

I'd definitely have to agree that the first 4 or so seasons are the best. I think the whole series and all the movies are on netflix, and thought the movies were pretty good. I remember watching it all during a massive netflix binge a year or so ago, so I'm a certified Futurama nerd as a result.

What I didn't like about the later seasons is that the jokes get cruder and less original, more so with every time they brought it back. Might have something to do with it being put on Comedy Central, or just change over time, but it seemed to have less science-fictionish referential/topical comedy and more filler using the same tired plotlines. Most episodes were still pretty funny, but it felt like it was being kept alive by fan service, which isn't great.

I've only seen a few seasons. By that, I mean very sporadic as I'm not much of a Tv person.

But I enjoyed frankly 99% of it and am really finding out ways to view more.

It's one of my favorite shows, too bad it's the last season.
Aw crud. Last season? >_<

There are continuations, right? Like..next season?

PTW too!

Is Simpsons still on-going?  In comparison to Futurama's life span.

If I have one thing to say bout the newer episodes of Futurama....it's that sex and relationships became central themes. There's always room for some sex jokes or references, but lately they seemed to dominate the humor and the writing. Moreso when the first new espisodes started airing, but it feels like more all around than previous seasons.

Matt Groening said he might bring Futurama back on another network. At least, that's what the end of this Popular Science article has to say.

It aired for a while, got canceled, came back, and now it's gone again--except it may come back on another network, possibly, Matt Groening has said. Or maybe it won't! Who knows.
