Goings onThe Dwarves, having exhausted most of their easily-accessible mineral nodes during their rigorous earth striking initiative, have resorted to delving deep into the earth. Being fortunate enough to avoid the hazards of the depths thus far (unlike their Human neighbors), the Dwarves happily extract from the earth ores that sentient creatures were never meant to touch. Far beneath the earth's surface, underneath a large mountain a crew of coal miners sang as they dug the fuel of the glorious Dwarven forges. Suddenly a vein of coal that one of the miners, his beard black with coal dust, was striking crumbled to reveal an expansive cavern, half-full with magma. The Dwarf called to his comrades, who crowded around the hole in their tunnel and gazed at the beautiful glowing stone. Suddenly, the Dwarves' beards caught fire due to the flammable rock that blackened their them. The Dwarves rolled on the ground, desperately trying to put out the portion of their face most dear to them, when the source of the ignition entered the tunnels and joined them. An incorporeal serpent of flame blinded the miners with its luminosity, and then melted them all alive. The specter did not pay any attention to its victims, but continued to move purposefully eastward, through the Dwarves' intricate subterranean networks, burning wooden supports and causing tunnel collapses and deaths wherever it went.
All throughout the Hobbit Empire, having learned the secrets of mithril mining from the Dwarves, Hobbit miners strike the earth in a manner that makes their bearded partners proud (and jealous).
The Elves uncover the ancient ruins of a Dwarven colony far beneath the earth. Several Elves die to expertly-engineered, still functioning traps about the fort, but explorers eventually make their way into an ornate tomb structure carved out of the stone, with ancient symbols resembling modern Dwarven writing covering the walls. Within a gold sarcophagus is a Dwarven skeleton in ceremonial golden armor, clutching in one hand an impossibly sharp mithril spear, studded with beautiful, unidentifiable gems. The weapon is brought at once to King Terra, while other artifacts are generously donated to the scholars of the Dwarven Empire to be studied. The king takes the spear in his hands and is overcome by its beauty, but suddenly drops it. He begins to bleed from his eyes and convulses hideously on the floor. His subjects rush to their beloved monarch, but by the time they reach him he is already dead. The artifact is brought to the most secure place in the Elven Empire: The Grekian Oracle, while the royal corpse is carried out into a forest retreat so that Terra's essence can physically become one with the forest. The entire empire is overcome with grief as the Empire is left temporarily leaderless. In the midst of the sorrow, several more Elves meet the same mysterious fate as Terra.
The output of 52 Human farms and fisheries is stolen by Kobolds.
2 Kobold caves destroyed by the dragon. The survivors are rescued by Kobold thieves.
3 Dwarven farms/fisheries destroyed by the dragon. Kobolds steal the plunder.
A Dwarven forge is destroyed by the dragon right after it produces suits of steel armor. The Kobolds steel the masterworks from the dragon's lair.
3 Hobbit mithril mines, 2 iron mines destroyed by the dragon.
Sorry for being so late.
