Why is this forum such a big target for spambots?

I have always wondered. It's not really a very popular forum (or so do I think), and like daily, there is a spambot strike. What makes this forum so attractive for spambots? Discuss.

ITT Small forums are targeted harder than large ones, because they have less administration. When we had a small forum for a minecraft server I used to play on, we had loads o bots.

Also probably less effective filtering software, as well as an ability to let people post immediately after signing up.

Also, most spam is ranking spam, to get their websites on page one of google results.

I honestly would say Bay12 has it pretty easy spam wise.

Ever been to the Stardrive forums?
You can't type the word "kitchen" there anymore.

THATS HOW BAD IT IS.

Hell actually its not even bots there, supposedly its a bunch of indian people getting paid a dollar an hour to spam it.
Pretty messed up stuff.

If we had to fill out a captcha with each post it might make things a little less spam-filled around here. Just think it might be a good idea that's all.

This is something i could get behind, however sometimes i need to use my tablet for computer related activities, and a captcha every post would just make posting an even more monotonous task.
