Thanking Ciera for the momentary lapse of attention, Cyra was glad to be in the company of good folk.

...Or at least as good as how the Imperial scales judge them--by the twine of their white yarn, and theatric camaraderie.

Quicktrade Miguel's Black Shard for lockpicks; Go to 23-11, attack Bishop B with ranged weapon, Canto to 23-12.

Miguel takes the lockpicks with an exceedingly confused look as Cyra's sneaky fingers remove the Black Shard from his position. He ignores the whole situation in lieu of debating castle weapon procedure!

: "Well, I suppose we must put the matter in perspective! Swords are the weapons of nobility. These men are guards and knights; the kind of people who wouldn't be outfitted with such weapons. Rather, they're here to counter any wild swashbuckler looking to assert themselves on the throne."

Miguel paused for a mighty moment and placed his hand manfully upon his chin.

: "Sort of like how Julius has the Crown Blade, is a nobleman, and must therefore be slain by the guard to prevent him taking the throne. But enough of that. I don't want these! These are the tools of a criminal!"

Miguel gallops to 23-11, taking the long way around the pillar to reach MAXIMUM MOMENTUM! He snatches back the Black Shard from Cyra, throws the Lockpicks into her saddle bag, and whirls his Silver Lance against the General B(EES), before returning the standard Guard Cyra position!

Cyra noticed the implication immediately,

"Those are...my hairpins! Not criminal tools! I need them for keeping things in place."

Though she was impressed with the logic and finesse of assessment Miguel gave, she wondered if there was any other way they could've taken the throne without this violence.
