: "Up fer what?" Grifen peered around the corner and grimaced at the sight of the monsters.

: "Oh, gross. Yeah, I'll back ya up. Dunno how much good my crossbow's gonna do against 'em., but I'll keep ya goin'."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm sure Ciera and Alec will too."

[Sirus]

Grifen brightened, the prospect of slime monsters temporarily forgotten.

: "Speakin' of those two, I noticed they seem pretty chummy lately. What's goin' on with them?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Oh, that's right! I forgot to tell you, we wound up leaving just a little bit after I found out. Ciera told Alec how she feels, and it's looking good!"

[Blade Master Model 42]

: "That's great news! After all her mopin' it's about time she got around to tellin' him...though I woudn't be surprised if Alec had it figured out already. Probably why things seem to be going so well."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Whatever works out, right? Speaking of, what's going on with you and Fezz?"

[Sirus]

: "Heehee! Been tryin' to getcha away from the rest fer a few days now so I could tell ya anyway."

: "Weeeeell...remember back in Moss, when I didn't know whether I should try and stay with Fezz or go home? Well, I made up my mind. He might not have said as much, but Fezz loves me too. I wanna make things work with him."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"That's great! Sounds like all of us are doing well."

"...Eeeeeyep. Just super."

[Sirus]

Grifen winced. She knew that tone.

: "Uh oh. Things not workin' so well with you and preacher? What can I do to help?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Nothing's wrong. Not as such. Just... Things aren't going anywhere? I can't believe I'm complaining about this again, I already bent Ciera's ear about it a couple of days ago, to be honest..."

[Sirus]

: "Well, I didn't hear any of it. Go ahead and bend my ear too, it's the least I can do!"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Well, you know, me and Leo have been an actual item for a couple of months now and... I don't know where we're going with it? I mean... I kinda thought he would have proposed by now. I don't want him to have to break any more of his vows, so I've been trying not to push him into, uh, stuff. But it's getting really frustrating. And he hasn't asked me about it once. I don't know if he's even considering it right now... Ciera thinks he's waiting for the right time. She's probably right. But I just can't help but worry..."

[Sirus]

: "Hmm...well, I can kinda see the way Ciera's thinkin'. With this whole stupid war goin' on, and us caught right in the middle of it, preacher's probably too busy keepin' us all alive to think about stuff like gettin' married...or, uh, stuff."

: "But that don't mean he don't love ya! Heck, I bet he's already figured out how the weddin's gonna go and everything. Probably wants everythin' to be perfect. Have ya tried talkin' to him about any of this?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Well no, I don't want to pressure him about it. I want him to do it because he wants to and he's ready, not because I asked him to. It's... Complicated. And probably dumb."
