Ciera had kept quiet through most of the exchange, not knowing what to say to Alec, but she finally managed to ask him quietly,

"Oh, uhm, Alec, I was wondering... I seem to recall that you had a sword with you at some point during our travels. I was hoping that... if you weren't using it, I could use it? I've been wanting to work on my sword skills and it seems like the right type of sword for that."

: "Hm? Sword?"
Alec shifted his shoulder straps a little, and with a click of his eyes, realized there was the sheath to a sword strapped on.
: "Oh yeah, I forgot about this thing. Knock yourself out!" He cheerily replied as he pulled the sheath off and tossed it at Ciera.

Fezz had lessened his smile at Miguel's order, still feeling uncomfortable and increasing in feeling as the others grew closer. He deflated a bit when others thought he was sick or in pain, and when Grifen actually checked to see if he was sick he had dropped the uncomfortable position but he was trying to stand up a bit straighter and with his shoulders slightly more back.

The scholar nodded at Grifen's orders, unsure if he should say something as Miguel had told him to not chatter. Still, he didn't want to worry the nomad. Fezz gave her a small if warm smile, very much so genuine. ...He also double checked and noted that Grifen indeed had green eyes.

"Ah! Thanks! I really appreciate it."

She smiled at Alec, pointedly not looking to see Sheila's reaction to her talking to him.

Seeing that Fezz had lost the odd expression (what was that, anyway?), Grifen smiled in return.

: "Oh good, yer already lookin' much better."

: "Well, sorry to bug you fellas. Us gals were gonna go find some place to get some drinks and snacks, so we're gonna let y'all get back to whatever y'were doin'. See ya later!"

With a last wave (and another smile for Fezz), she returned to where Sheila and Ciera stood waiting and continued on the journey to find a tavern.

Lo and behold, they found a tavern 'At the Road', which was your average nondescript tavern like there are many everywhere.

Miguel watched as the girls turn a corner and out of sightline before he released a little chuckle.

: "Ho ho ho."

: "Good show lad. You got her attention my boy! It's not every day that a fine young lass stops you on the street to ask whether you are ill! Now come along! TO THE INN!"

Miguel leads the party off to the inn in earnest!

Having arrived at the tavern and gotten drinks, Ciera sat down as a small booth with the other two and looked around the tavern.

"This place seems nice. Time to relax and really enjoy our girl time, right?"

She tasted the alcohol in front of her and nodded. It wasn't the best thing she'd ever tasted but it was pleasant.

Grifen cautiously sampled her own drink and was relieved to find that it actually tasted pretty good. Compared to the grog, anyway.

: "This oughta be nice. I wonder if the others will show up?"

@Miguel:

Miguel found 'The Golden Chalice', a quaint wealthy inn where the beds where bug-free, the candles scented and the drinks offered vere from top shelf.

"Isn't it sir Miguel! Come, are you here to leave your bag of gold like in old days?" A similarily elderly man welcomed Miguel from behind the counter. It seems that Miguel's muscle memory had its own desires.

Alec looked around at the inn's furnishings.
: "Hey uh, old timer? This isn't the inn we were staying at." His ears perked on hearing the counterman.
: "Not that I mind the extra accommodations. You know this place?"

Miguel turned to Alec first, his facing blushing at his own senile nature.

: "Goodness me! I swear, sometimes my old head has a mind of it's own! Ho ho ho! You're right. I know this place well and I'm glad we're here!"

The old knight stepped forward a jovial smile as he outstretched his arms to embrace the aging innkeeper.

: "Ahaha Roncarlo! You old dog! Ha! Why I haven't seen you in... Many, many years! I hardly recognized you old friend! If I had known you were still living, I would have stopped in ages ago! Ho ho ho!"

Miguel flourished with a smile as he turned back to his companions.

: "Gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to Roncarlo. He is an old friend of mine from when... Oh ye gods, when did we first meet old friend?"
