Bullshit, we're far better at responding to what the other poster isn't saying.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

You guys are all morons. We should all put on our best tinfoil caps and do what our pet cats tell us to! The best form of government, period.

Feudalism. A lord has more incentive to treat his serfs well than does a CEO to treat his employees well, since employees are a lot more expendable than serfs.
We did have a thread on that. It degenerated quickly.

So, much like the actual feudalism?

Saying that feudalism degenerated implies it started out well.

That doesn't mean it was effective, benevolent, or profitable.

In fact I'd argue stability and longevity of a government can be a negative trait just as well. A form of government that is hard to change/overthrow may be problematic when it becomes corrupt or incompetent, especially when there are no checks in place (like I imagine is the case with fuedalism? Don't actually know to much about it).

Sometimes a little instability and the threat of revolution is necesary to keep it in shape. How does it go? A government should fear its people, not the other way around?
