Lords of the Genes: A genetics suggestion game
« on: August 24, 2013, 04:00:53 pm »

Okay, so this is a new genetics game! It's in the same vein as... the last one that happened for a little bit, so credit to Scelly9 for creating the idea.

We are Jean MalJean, and our favoured engineering area is biosphere engineering and development! We haven't got much right now, but in the future, we're aiming to become a famous terraformer. Our hirers should give us the supplies we need while we're in their employment, luckily. Let's get started!

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

We've managed to find two well-paying jobs to apply for! Out of these, there are:

-A well-paying man, Andy Henders, has managed to buy a super-earth, of about 5G. The atmosphere is similar to that of Venus, though, and he'd like someone to biologically remove the greenhouse effect. A good job could mean more in the future.
-A famous celebrity wants a genetically engineered nature reserve (complete with wildlife) for her daughter. She is unwilling to pay large sums for it, meaning she's looking for people more in our own vein. She might be able to recommend us if we do a good job. However, it is very specifically meant to be based on a recent series called 'My Little Pony: Best Friends Forever', and all we have to work with is a very dense, very thick tropical rainforest (no animals were put into it before it was sold to said celebrity).

We'll have to sign our name on the bottom of the form, too.

We are Jean MalJean! We have got into contact with both of the possible clients, and they have given us some more specifics in regards to their respective projects.

-Mr. Henders would like some interesting flying creatures to inhabit the clouds. They should be able to thrive on the methane and CO2, but they should have continued survival in lower layers of the atmosphere once the greenhouse effect ends. He would like ballonts (lighter-than-air flyers) in particular, although what form they take is up to choice. They will have to have a powered-flight juvenile stage, though, as smaller ballonts have more trouble flying. Multiple, different-looking species are necessary, and non-ballonts are optional.
-Jane Mars has said that the environment should be open plains, with a clear blue river running through. A few trees should be scattered around, and they should be no taller than four metres high, and be pastel green. A cyan pony, a purple unicorn, a black pegasus, a green unicorn and a pink dragon are all necessary, though in what numbers are by your choice.

We should definitely double check with Jane Mars on whether she wants the ponies to talk like the ponies on the show do. If that's not a requirement, then getting some strangely coloured ponies and a single giant lizard should be child's play. If talking is a requirement, then that's a bit out of our league. And probably unethical.
