Its really easy to see through and it kind of makes the scene even more grotesque.

Everyone finds themselves being pulled along as the Angry Marines make their way through the ruins. The streets are filled with the dead, mounds several stories tall rise up at every corner. Buildings are charnel houses while their walls are covered with mutilated corpses of the slain. Faint cries of pain can be heard from the north.

Their is no way to make a child who has had their eyes cut out and their innards wrapped around their neck look cute no matter how hard Vicy tries. Same goes to the man with a Chaos star branded into his chest via fire or the woman who appears to have violently lost her jaw.

Its really easy to see that those are fake and it makes the scene more disrespectful to the dead. It appears that the universe its self is to grimdark for that shit.
