Eventually Isaac encounters bad luck fighting that looks somewhat like a fetus merged with a heart and dies. Proving Kyle right Isaac comes out of the aforementioned door and steps onto the field holding his head. Everyone else suddenly teleports onto the field.
"Now that that is over you all are going to fight those things with stuff from the supply closet."
Bits of the floor lower before raising up and revealing an assortment of random items including a trash can and a jet turbine. Isaac walks off to the opposite end of the arena and opens a door letting out a bunch of black flies.

"...I don't suppose that this academy includes a non-field-cape program?" Will is visibly shaking at the thought of fighting those things.
Or anything, really.

Will looks for assorted chemicals and stuff to improvise an explosive device.

There are various chemicals but they are not actively deadly.
((At least, you haven't earned a deus ex machina yet to be able to find them or make them with out a really high roll. I would advise blunt force trauma. Besides you can't die during lessons.))

Will uses his power to see if there's any potentially explosive chemical reactions possible between the chemicals. If not, he looks for something shield-like.

Nope no luck. However the tower shield lying on the ground is a good replacement me thinks.

There aren't any swords surprisingly. There is however a piece of rebar on the ground.
