"Just so you know this doesn't normally happen. It's mostly a way to get Isaac to make friends while not panicking him. The actual learning will come in about fourty five minutes or when Isaac 'dies'."

"What do you mean by 'dies'?"

"Well, if he loses all his hearts," Kyle points the top of the screen where it has the hearts. "He dies and then he'll come out through there." Kyle points to the end of the stadium.

Will raises his hand.

"Is he in some sort of simulation or video game? And if so, why?"

"He is actually fighting his inner demons right now. His mother tried to kill him, his siblings were still born, tragic really."

Will nods slowly and remains silent.

Isaac eventually gets to a door with a skull at the top of it. He goes in and it shows he is fighting the duke of flies.

Stella starts watching it more like a movie than a class

"And how, precisely, is this supposed to teach us?" Lucius seems skeptical, an eyebrow raising at Kyle. "It seems more like sport or entertainment than any class I've attended."

Now that she was looking at it Stella was confused for an entirely different reason, the plot, what the hell was supposed to be going on!
