"Not really, but until now, it consisted of random individuals, not entire cities. Perhaps there's a reason we don't know of?"

Largely at random, comments a nearby cat.

Tasrak shrugs.

"Personally, I think the blight attracted the Paladins and the Paladins attracted the Necropolis."

"I ever tell you about Scarlet Crusade? They have a chapel in Forsaken land, and don't care one bit that the Forsaken are free now. They also kill anyone living and not wearing a scarlet uniform on the off chance they have the Plague."

[Empiricist]

"Your world seems to be in serious need of psychiatrists."
"Any other options aside from drinking?"
Lucinda looks outside. "Zounds! An accursed host approaches!"

[Vgray]

"I just revel in telling you about the bad parts."

[Empiricist]

"I suppose reminding yourself about the unsavory parts stave off homesickness?"

[Vgray]

"It's mostly to amuse myself."

Tasrak continues to sketch things.

"So is this. I'm preparing for when I actually have a lab again."

"Back home we have a holiday of sorts, one week of the year when adventurers are encouraged to take orphans with them, bond with them and let them see the world."

[Empiricist]

"Isn't that a bit dangerous?"

[Vgray]

"Perhaps. I don't recall the adventurers ever going that far. Dalaran took in orphans from Northrend and the holiday spread there. Now that sounds dangerous to me. And they gave an orphan to Tasrak of all people. Don't worry, the little pup is still alive, and actually likes Tasrak for some reason."

"Portal? How? Is it two-way?"

Your father, Ari? From what I know of your world, he never had the chance to have children.

He was dead before he reached the age of eight."
Corvus looks at Kaiku even more intensively.

"What? Wasn't the other guy his father? Well, some people here were dead... so that would explain how I saw him and shot that asshole."
