CE: While I appreciate the compliment, it doesn't change that people complain about only one person planning but never actually try to plan themselves or suggest otherwise. I know that there have been multiple times when people (like Sirus or Xan) have suggested changes to my plan and often they're extremely useful changes. Like Xan using Pious Defense last map, etc. I'm fine if we do choose not to plan or whatever, but I a) think it's a bad idea and b) would ask that if we do choose to keep planning, people either suggest stuff or don't complain about no one else planning. Cause it's really frustrating.

But yeah. Since people seem to not want planning all the time, I'm willing to not do so, I just think it's really risky to wait to plan for a long time... Also I think it extends turns to an extreme amount sometimes.

It will, yeah. People will have to readjust to making their own moves.

I see your point about the stressful planning and hurried planning, some things would of been a /lot/ easier if we just put a little foresight into our actions. I'll try to pitch in more with the plans from now on to help you out, but I admit I'm in the "plan if needed" camp as well. Maybe it might be good if we have a sort of idea for what situations would be needed, so that way we can leave people to flaff about by themselves when its actually not needed, but catch the situations where we do need it early.

Running into a fortified position, for instance, would be a good time to start planning to give an example.

I'm...a bit confused on the arguing and spontaneity stuff here ._.

Mostly because I'm ok with the plans--and in such situations, the planner and the actor are 99% not in exclusive positions to pit against each other, their ideas.

I mean, all plans I've ever witnessed always happened when imminent danger took form. It's like one of us, usually in the OOC thread, taking the mantle of the Tactician given that we lack a designated tactician. :P

But if its thankfulness, we're pretty thankful. But maybe we're not saying it? :3
I think we need a mug for every plan made in the OOC. Like that encouraging guy who pops up whenever you check your stats in FE.

The reason I asked in the first place is because people were saying that FEF2 was less fun than FEF1 in some ways because of the lack of ability to do individual moves and how planning has made the battles a lot easier and therefore some of the challenge is lost. However, I am of the mind that planning helps prevent situations where it's up to a coin flip if someone lives or dies, which is why I prefer planning on every turn. The issue with me not liking people complaining about me being the only one planning is a different issue.

We actually used to plan on our own quite a bit, but only for our characters and the characters around them and/or those online at the moment. (The exception being the coin-flip situations like what Tiruin mentioned -- we needed a tactician occasionally) One of the great things about mass plans is it gives folks who aren't really active a way to participate in RP without constantly checking stats and hoping they're doing the right thing. Of course, some folks may prefer that FEF players be actually active in both parts of the game because of how much work it is to run a FEF game. I remain ambivalent on this issue and can understand both sides.

However, I will say that if you stopped coming up with mass plans then CE, or someone else, almost certainly would take it up without hesitation. We simply know you're willing to put in the effort whereas most people wouldn't be unless you left.

EDIT: Here is an idea. For the people who are not a fan of mass planning, simply ignore swordstar's plans and make your own actions. It may disrupt the plan, but it would be no different than in the halcyon past when many things were made up on the go.

We certainly did this with the Morwen situation in the last battle. There were plans that some characters simply didn't follow because the players didn't feel it was a good idea. I didn't see much problem with that. If you wish to play your character and make your own decisions more then you should certainly do so because it is just a forum game in the end.

What FFS said, and also...those with a problem with it could point it out in a constructive-for-all way :o
...And not probably verge on having the implication heading down ' >:( at one certain person in particular'.

Because that doesn't bring healthy feelings from it ._.

I would significantly rather not plan than have that happen tbh. Because often with my plans, it will require specific things to happen, etc, messing them up could result in an even worse situation than if no one was planning. Aka Person A is supposed to attack and take a counter so that Person B can finish without a counter. Person A decides screw the plan, Person B doesn't realize, gets downed, etc.

Like the other people, that reaction is up to you. No one requires you or anyone to make any plans for combat turns, nor is it required anyone follow them. It's a nice service, but if you feel it's impossible to continue if people take my advice seriously, then no one will begrudge your stopping.

Also with great sadness I have to announce something:

No more dual performing in one turn.

I mean, FEF1 was broken but it wasn't broken as much as having two performers. I cannot disperse you into two/more groups or make ambushes or stretch the battle lines effectively. This is especially evident because of how fast Candy is and how many people Alec can boost. 6 more actions means 6 more kills or 6 more heals, and that's a whole heap of exp that only brings you mucho closer to level cap. And we're barely halfway there in terms of game chapters, because after [insert glorious toppling of Emperor chapter] there will be at least few more chapters, depending on few more choice-time chapters.

While dual performing is banned, please remember that Candy has a bunch of Memory Magic spells, and that Alec can use Anima tomes, not to mention his magical flute currently heals a neat amount of HP up to 4 people at once.

There, I said v:

Scratch that prettyprettyprincess has better idea like always:

Performer nerf:
One target for Dancers
Two targets for Bards
Lore masters have their base class style.

SUGGESTION!

Efa gets Cyra's longbow since she's built to use a longbow and Cyra can zoom in, shoot someone, and zoom back out. Then Cyra gets the Iron bow, has that, the knives, and her new Steel Sword
