“Hey guys, I… I’m going to go look for the others.” Ali rehearsed to herself for the third time as she watched Melody’s shotgun blast obliterate a swath of infected.

“Hey guys, I’m going to go look for the others.” Ali repeated quietly to herself as Jeffrey placed two short bursts into a few infected.

“Hey guys, I’m going to go look for the others.” Ali stated rhetorically as the others moved in front of her and she saw the awesome power of Damon’s explosive shotgun as it destroyed everything in their path.

“H…” Ali started to say but something occurred to her. If she said something the others would go back with her… “No… Better to just slip away. I’ll be back before they know it.”

“Damn kid,” Ugly Jim said as he observed the carnage from Damon’s shotgun “That thing has got to be illegal.”

“I’m not complaining. It’s save our lives more than once I’d wager.” Damon said gently petting the object in his hand “Too bad we’re out of explosive shots.”

[We’ll probably find more.]

“We’ll probably find more.” Melody offered, though for some reason Jeffrey seemed a little annoyed at the prospect, as she looked down at her own shotgun. She loved how it felt but it seemed to be underperforming compared to the monsters that Ugly Jim and Damon tended to carry.

“Well yeah bu-“

“Howdy folks! Can ye help a man out? Ah’m trapped in here!” A southern voice yelled out from a nearby closet “No wait… Ah think ah can jam it open.” A loud thud was heard, along with several clangs, before the voice said “Ow, nah man…”

“What the hell?” Melody inquired “How’d you get trapped in there?”

“Ah wanted ta see if ah couldn’t get out on mah own.”

“Are… He’s joking right?” Melody whispered.

I'm noticing that, aside from the weapons, infected also translate very well into the grid pattern. So... I'll be doing that as well. Lots of changes occuring within the framework of the game. Which is awesome, I believe.

“What were you doing in there?” Melody asked the southern gent as she scanned the surrounding area for hostiles.

“Well ah was tryin ta find mah way outta the city y’know? Ah was walkin’ down this here street and ah saw the biggest sum'bitch y’all ever did see. He hadda been bout ten feet tall y’all ah shit you not. Ah saw the fucker pick up a damn truck and toss the sum’bitch over there.” The man indicated the truck blocking the road.

The survivors all glanced at eachother. This thing sounded like a Tank/Gorilla.

“Anyways ah was tryin’ ta get to that there truck stop down yonder. It’d be quicker that way,” the man indicated the blocked road “But ya can’t get there now. So ah thought ta myself ah’d better hide. Ah’m not a coward y’all bu- Uh… Yeah?”

Jeffrey took the opportunity to press his pistol into the youth’s hands.

“Nah y’all ah already got one. Ol’ Keith got himself a fancy glock an’-“ Jeffrey seemed intent though and pressed the gun into the youth’s hand regardless “Alright alright. A little double pistol action.”

“Son, this thing sounds like something we’ve fought before.” Ugly Jim offered.

“Really? How’d y’all escape? Sum’bitch’s immune to bullets.

“You just didn’t fire enough bullets.” Damon offered.

“We’ve killed two son. Why don’t you come with us. We’re all heading to the same spot.”

“Sure, why not? It’ll be just like the time me and mah buddies Ellis and Dave, Ellis is mah best buddy, went campin’ and we-“

“GRAAAGGH!!!” A loud roar was quickly followed by the sound of shredding steel nearby.

“Shit! It’s that big sum’bitch!”

“Well the fucker’s about to get Tank Busted… No? Not gonna use that term? Okay.” Melody offered with a savage grin. Followed shortly thereafter by a nervous laugh.

“Ah like it.”

Currently? Ammo conservation. I'm thinking of merging Covering Fire and Overwatch. The proposed direction it's taking is this: For every tick you do not take you get an option tick of Overwatch.

Go into Overwatch on turn 2 [missing turns 2, 3, 4, and 5] you get to do the Overwatch action for 4 infected ticks. Thoughts?
