As Ali slowly walked into the saferoom, with Jeffrey right behind her, the group took a moment to finally breath easily.

“I don’t know how much more of this I can take…” Melody sighed as she sat down, her legs ached more than they ever had in her life.

“I’m with ya kid. The human body just isn’t made for this sort of constant movement.” Ugly Jim said with a large groan as he forced his body to grab supplies and slipped on a slightly too tight Kevlar vest before he too sat down.

Soon the group was picking through the items in the room and sitting in various chairs within the small room.

“What did this place used to be?” Damon asked as he warily eyed an anti-infection poster. Washing your hands? That wouldn’t help when a Tank showed up. Maybe a Boomer though…

“If I had-“ Melody began but Jeffrey cut her off.

[It used to be a house. It was abandoned several years ago. I assume they’re using it for the Barricade.]

“Okay… I think he said it was… A house. Maybe something about a Barricade?” Ali offered. No one knew sign language, and their translator had mysteriously vanished, but when your life depends on learning a language you learn rather quickly.

“A Barricade? Shit… I hope nothing blocks the road entirely… How far are we from the truck stop?” Damon asked.

[The Barricade used a lot of trucks so not far. I’d say about ten minutes on foot if all goes well.]

“It won’t.” Melody sighed.
