She continues to look away, biting her lip.

"I hate myself."

Selina stops, that was a complete shock to her system. Yuri hated herself!?!? Selina slowly stood up, her tear stained face one of total surprise.

"Y-y-y-you hate... you...?" Selina looks like a breeze would tip her over.

"Yes. I hate myself. I have power. I have status. I have wealth. I have all these things that others would kill for. But I can't even keep a friend safe. My entire life, anyone that got too close to me has been either chased off or killed. All because of me. All except the one person who I thought I could trust and rely on..."

She shudders a little.

"She killed herself a few days before you showed up."

Selina stands there in shock for a moment before running over and giving Yuri a huge hug. She doesn't even say anything, just hugs her as comfortingly as she can.

She tenses up, then slowly embraces her back, eyes closing and a slow breath escaping her.

"N-n-nothing c-c-could... c-c-could ruin our... our fr-fr-friendship... n-nothing...?" Selina is crying again, but they were tears of joy. She wasn't hated, she was trying to be protected.

"I..." She nods, silent.

"I... I'm s-s-s-sorry for... f-f-for  over re-reacting... C-c-can I... m-m-make it up... up t-t-to you...?" Selina is still hugging her, a little afraid to let go.

<Yuri hates herself... M-maria... Sh-she hates herself...>
