Nah, Izzy doesn't ride the golem into fights. She uses it as transport, as it runs faster than her, but riding the thing would be impractical and probably get her killed.

Define 'unique'. Though I don't think any of the other characters except perhaps ICARUS has detached themselves from physics as much. Considering that he got impaled on a piece of paper somehow and despite having a gaping chest wound took as much damage as one would expect form a papercut.
