funfact, before I rewrote parts of my lore to be more compatible with this setting, Belkelel was not associated with robots (it's not a modern setting anyway), but literaly with depravity, the worst kind of hedonism, mind-controle and yes, the most bloody kind of rape you can come up with. Alright, I'll get started on writing backstory for Merrick today and maybe think of an initial persona for him. Basic criteria I'm looking at are either figures in myth/legend that are heroes, fools, or protagonists of their own story. Suggestions are welcome because creatively I suck at this stuff...

Except at no point did we say Ashley was the first Void walker. That is not the reason.  I believe the reason was, until recently, Void and Shys'm Caes were going to refrain from any romance for each other's sake, which all ended when the latter decided she'd rather get accidentally seduced by Selina at which point Void pretty much became free to screw anyone he wanted. In this case, Ashley.

She isn't the first 'voidwalker' if that's what you mean. Abraxas was around far longer, even during the first game.

If by that you mean 'human revived by the Void', you're right, unless anyone wishes to object.


And of course, most beings who learned how to couldn't naturally do it. So another point in Ashley's favour. Still, I doubt she's the first Voidwalker, as in 'first person to walk the void'.
