I WAS IN TENPAI FOR A PURE CHUUREN POOTO, BUT NO PIN TILE CAME OUT FOR 9 TURNS AND THEN SOMEONE WON WITH AN OPEN SAN SHOKOU FOR JUST 1000 POINTS! ARGH!




((explanation for those who have no clue about mahjong, a pure chuuren pooto is an incredibly rare hand, that would have gotten me 48000 points. Due to it's unique structure, once you are in tenpai - that is one tile away from winning, and tile of the same color (pei, the circles) will do, so you are almost guaranteed to win it once you actually assemble it - very difficult. VERY difficult. An open san shokou is the easiest, most skill-less and lowest socring hand in the game. A first grader could do that. I am grinding my teeth so hard in anger they might break))

there are only two hands that would have induced more rage, a pure kokushi mosou (same value has pure chuuren pooto, but not as cool) or a hand that never happens, a daisangen suu ankou tsuuiisou (the most valueable hand if you ignore adding tenhou)
