Hey dudes, remember Vornar?
I don't know what about this situation could POSSIBLY have reminded me of him.
Any ideas?
That occurred to me, too, but seriously. Killing 40 people?
Think about this logically. You have discovered that someone you met yesterday is a mass murderer. She shows no remorse for this, and in fact tries to flimsily justify her murders by claiming that accidentally wandering into an unmarked, invisible enclave is a crime which deserves to be punished by death, because this enclave cannot (say) incapacitate the people before wiping their memories and dropping them off outside, or if that's too complex
put up a freaking sign. Also, she has revealed herself to be lying, because when you consider the numbers she's given to make it sound less bad, they don't add up. What do you do?
A. Ignore it and cheerfully accept the serial killer into your circle of friends!
B. Call the police!
If you chose A, congratulations! You have not thought this through.
(Also note that I'm not saying "WE MUST ALL KILL HAI ALSO AKROMA IS A SOCIOPATH," I'm just saying "WTF? Will's calling the cops, by the way."
I think it's more that Akroma and GWG have very different ideas as to what constitutes reasonable statistics and so on and so forth.
Look at the numbers. Either Hai is a major Mary Sue warrior who is almost single-handedly responsible for keeping the humans out of her enclave (meaning she shouldn't have left, and should be kicked out of the game and replaced* before the Sueness gets out of hand), or she is lying big time about how many people her people kill.
*By another character of Akroma's, I mean. Just because your first character is a serial killer possible Mary Sue doesn't mean you should be banned from the game.
you seem to have a problem seperating IC and OOC.
Oh? I'm pretty sure Will is IC as opposed to murder as I am OOC.
note how my my character description clearly mentions that she is swanky. boastful. In other words, she pads stories out. Those 40 might be 10, might be 4. The stories become more lively with every itteration. If in a week she retells the story of laying needles on Esters father, by that time the car that hit him might have become an auto-bot, and laying the needles might have become him being torn in half and being stitched together.
Well, how is Will supposed to know that? Now,
that would be mixing IC with OOC.
Not to mention, she's still definitely a murderer.
for someone with "super intuition", Will sure has a nack for taking everything that is said, ever, at face value.
Intuition requires something to go on. Besides, he's as much tearing down Hai's claims as anything.
Also, it's pretty clear that she has killed people. Four or forty,
this is a felony.
note also how the effects of her needle work where in the character description from the very start, and I have heared no word from Elf that this is unapproved off. The problem is that super-accuracy is the name elf came up for it, but I have always made it clear from the start that my intention was to hit accupressure points and sensitive parts of anatomy in a small cause, big effect fashion.
Well, I'm sorry I don't automatically sense the intention of everything you try to do. Maybe you should have made this more clear? Especially since enhanced accuracy is already a pretty useful power?
Also, acu
pressure is acupuncture with massages replacing needles. You're not doing that.
you say it didn't have the effect I wanted, but Elf said no such thing.
Look at the scene again. You attempt to remove the drugs from Marten's system, but USEC continues to have MArten act as though he was under the drugs' effect. I'd call that a pretty big failure.
I say again, that from my first post to know, *this* has always been and will remain the kind of power I had in mind for Hainuwele, anything else is a misunderstanding. For the future, refer to the post above as to what Hainuwele does. She is a very agile, but frail, status-slinger. Compared to all the gods that are running around, that is hardly an unacceptably broken power. Judging by how people immediatly suggested I should use a weaponised form of ebola that turns cells into CF3, I take it is actually a rather weak power.
Well, it may not be overpowered, but it would help if it was explicitly stated.
Consider Angel/Nuriel. Fire sounds usefully dangerous, but really, it isn't. Its only applications that will be useful often are combat, and there are plenty of foes immune or resistant to it, plus the constant risk of collateral damage. Am I trying to find some implied power that I never said Nuriel could do?

becomes increasingly difficult (higher DC to beat), the further removed the target is from human anatomy. Fingerling and Human anatomy are, except for the difference in scale, incredibly similar as far as the lay of the meridians go, as is the case most, but certainly not all, humanoids (two arms, two legs, one head, one torso), and becomes increasingly difficult the further removed the general built of the target is, requiring a bit of time, planning and a decent portion of luck to properly extrapolate(though mind 30 helps).
Guess what?
You're never going to be using acupuncture on non-humanoids. That's slightly more of a limitation than saying that Nuriel's fire can't set stone on fire.
Enough.
GWG, Akroma, settle it in the PMs or I will lock down the OOC. I refuse to let this thread be shut down because of another Vornar incident. Am I clear?
I'll post this, because of how much time I spent and the fact that I couldn't see your request until after I had invested the time (seriously I got ninja'd like a dozen times), and I refuse to stop trying to get Hai in jail for killing however many people, but if Akroma is willing to let the argument stop there I'm fine with it.
On that subject, now that my annoyed warning has been deployed.....huggles?
I'm willing to huggle anyone who isn't a serial killer.
(P.S. This is referring to Akroma's
character, not Akroma. Should be obvious, but it doesn't hurt to make that clear.)
