You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Nox calmly pets Nox adoringly.
((?????))
"So uh what now?"
((Well, Victoria's last name is Nox and Nyle's vulpine form is also called Nox so I decided to play around with a bit of ambiguity.))

"So, I take it everyone is willing to accept this fate to follow their own ideals?"

Around the corner they see a... thing. Something that seems to be made of liquid light, a massive beast in the shape of a man, but much greater, nearly 12 feet tall, with arms that nearly drag on the ground and end in huge, vicious-looking claws. Its eyes, pits of darkest midnight within the glaring light of its form, focused, glaring at the figures that fan out around it, encircling it.
Angel's tails winds around Selina's.

The creature twists and moves faster than anything its size should be able to, moving faster than the group can even track, let alone react to. But the fighters approaching it are fast as well, blades lashing out, meeting with claws in mid-strike.

Sparks fly, and battle is joined, a hellish clash that just seems to drag on and on. Blasts of magic hammer at the creature, wounding it, but it seems only angered, lashing out with a claw... [72] and peircing straight through one of the attacker's chest. White fire consumes the woman in an instant, the air filling with her final, tortured scream.

Angel's tail tightens and she hugs Selina.
"Mommy I wanna go home..."

After a while, Angel looks up at Selina. Angel had gained too much in these past couple weeks to just throw it away, but was it really a good idea to be making life decisions like this at five years old? Her parents had no clue what was going on, and Angel didn't know much more. She knew that if she was unlucky, she could die.
Angel looked at Selina's face, her determination. She shifted her tail's grip and put her hand in.

No one can tell what Kyle is thinking behind his mask. Not that his voice makes it clearer.

Vivian. What can you tell us about these things? What are they, where do they come from, why are they here, what are their weaknesses? Do they have leaders? Do they have minds? Do they have emotions?

She grins. "Thinking like a soldier now, are you? Alright.

They're called Parasites. We don't know what exactly they are, but every so often, one of them claws their way up from the core and goes wild up here, trying to kill as many people as they can. And the more they kill, the stronger, bigger, and nastier they get. As far as we know, they're not intelligent, just mindless beasts with only one goal: to kill every single one of us. Then again, we've never exactly been able to interrogate one of them, and any of us that tried to read their minds or emotions on anything more than a passive basis ended up gibbering mad, so that's not a good sign.

As for weaknesses... Well, that depends on the strain. A good-sized magic attack will kill an Alpha dead, but most of the others aren't so cut and dry. But we do know one thing: They're vulnerable to magic, in any form you can get it. It's like cold iron to Kyle over there."

Kyle shudders and scratches the back of his neck.

"Sorry, most convenient simile.

"What would these steel claws do to one?"

"Well, they're enchanted, so they'd cut it, and act like they normally would when you hit something with them."

The core?

"Core, yeah. We're on islands. Whole world is, floating above a hugeass core of pure magic, the Core."
