I finished finalizing my towns. I notice that I  am going to have extra fighters and too few scholars for the first couple of turns. Would anyone want to trade some of their scholars for my fighters?

You have a nice scholar percentage in one of your cities I think.

I have 0% for scholars OR craftsmen in ANY of my cities. Shut up about your "not enough scholars"

Since this is something that is totally within your control, I don't really feel sympathy for you. I am sure WS would be willing to let you change it before the game started. Considering you are betting so hard on farmers and fighters, who are absolutely the two most abundant ones, I would even suggest that you take it into consideration.

I'm not complaining, I'm calling you out on complaining about something YOU have full control over.

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

But... he didn't complain about it, he mentioned he'd have a shortage of them and asked if anyone wanted to trade.

Yeah. I will have a okay amount of scholars as the game progresses, I am just going to have a shortage of them in the first few turns. BFEL is setting himself up to permanently have a shortage of scholars and craftsmen the whole game.

I guess no one is going to trade though, which is not that surprising, considering how rare scholars are going to be at first.

I'll start this game tomorrow or Sunday. Saturday I'm busy.

Edit: I'll still like to take one more player though.

Hmm....I think I'll change my thing, was kinda planning to be a "try and bring people together against greater threat" person anyway, so having scholars will be a good way to do that.
EDITING CIV.

Hmm....while I was editing it seemed like no one was really all that hard up for scholars or craftsmen, in fact it looks like fighters may be whats in demand....oops :P
Ah well, I like this new civ better anyway.

Well, I have an equal chance of getting one of every specialist every turn, barring some horrid luck. Even if I don't, I still gain everything BUT my racial specialty.

Well, I certainly didn't put any math or effort into that guess at all. So I could easily be wrong. But hey, since you are so scholar heavy now do you want to trade your starting scholar to me?

Alright. Got things organized enough. IC thread will be started shortly.

Please check the spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkrR8ObjN8zfdDlNUUd5VnJQVnJyOFdvT2g4TU12OHc&usp=sharing

Check all three tabs and make sure I got your info right.

If you haven't written in your backstory yet, you may want to do that soon as well.
