His answer is a rope which wraps around him, before the creature teleports at least a few hundred feet up, taking Darnos with. Darnos is dropped.

"Shit. GET HER! GET SOMEONE! Anyone who brings back a prisoner finishes their penitence!"
A number of the not-people spring into action, mobbing Victoria, Selina, and the others, even spilling through the portal to grab people. The black-robed man begins floating over towards the portal. He points his hand at Victoria, who gets grabbed by a hand of stone reaching up from the ground.

Yellow summons the razor into her other hand and begins to fight against the creatures!

"You can either let us go... or... I'll take out something that shouldn't actually exist and see how many people die."
Victoria blasts away at the stone with her PDW's explosive rounds.

Catherine backs up to the portal, and then lashes out with her water flasks.

She then forms a large Icewall, around the area with the portal.
"Through the portal! We're getting out of here, now!"
A fire in her eyes, and water in her grasp, she makes her way back to the portal. From there, she just whips at whatever creatures come close to her, or the portal.

A couple of the not-people fall, apparently unconscious from a simple stab or slash. More continue mobbing them, and there's only so much one can do when surrounded by a mob of (not-)people grabbing for you.

"Right. I have literally looked into the Abyss, and fought what looked back. I have fought illithids, aboleths, cultists of Far Realm Elders, and since death I have slain hundreds of tanar'ri, including a marilith and a babau elite assassin. I can take whatever you summon."
Another stony hand grabs Victoria, and a wall of black-tinged fire blocks the portal.

((We started with Angel trying to make something and we've somehow launched a sequence of events where, of all people, Selina and Darnos fight side by side whilst Catherine is actually angry and Victoria threatens everyone with the magical equivalent of a high-yield thermonuclear bomb.))
