What are the restrictions on usage of magic on fellow students, willing and unwilling? Also, are there any procedures for changing teams based on compatibility of interests, abilities or other assorted reasons for seeking a given individual or group's company? Further, is selling use or products of abilities to other students or staff allowed, and if so what are the limits and systems for doing so?

Richard raises his hand, waiting to be paid attention to between the crowd of weirdos. He considers lowering his hand a few times, but the fear doesn't get to him that easily. When he is finally given opportunity to ask, he raises a question.

"Um... what if we can't handle this place? Can we drop out?"

Never hurts to ask, or so he thinks. He does feel a bit embarrassed for asking, but hey, good to know your options.

Angel raises her hand. When called upon, she asks: "When do we find out what teams we're assigned to?"

((I'm assuming that the "teams" thing applies to all students and not just the PCs on the Alpha Team.))

"Only in the Arenas, it cannot be to the death, and they must be willing."

"If you choose missions that are appropriate for your skill, almost nothing. Three to five percent, at most, with the higher level missions having a higher rate... we attempt to keep death to a minimum, however."

"It should be willing if it has any permanent side effects, you can request it but there are reasons behind just who we put you with, so it's not especially likely, but you are free to join extracurricular activities with them or arrange class schedules to be together. And as for selling the products of your talents, it is encouraged, and in fact there is a student marketplace for just that just off the cafeteria."

"Um... what if we can't handle this place? Can we drop out?"

"You can, but I know that each and every one of you has the makings of greatness within you, if you can draw it out, and this is quite possibly the perfect place to do so."

Angel raises her hand. When called upon, she asks: "When do we find out what teams we're assigned to?"

"You should have a card with you, given just before you arrived." Indeed, Angel, along with Medea, Catherine, and Yoko all have cards marked with a greek Delta.

"No, unless they are attempting to kill you first."

Nope, not yet. Considering every other team in the place has, this might be a problem.

"I APOLOGIZE FOR MY LATENESS, MADAME HEADMISTRESS!!" The voice literally shakes the room with its volume, even though the Silence, as a man strides into the room, his volume making even the resident loudmouth sound like a mouse squeaking a little.

"HAS THE ORIENTATION BEGUN ALREADY? COME, TEAM DELTA! COME AND JOIN SALAZAR JOSE RIES DE DOMINGO!"

Oh there he is. And how much of him there is. He's well over eight feet tall, and muscled enough that it looks like he's more of a building than anything else, having to stoop through even the high doorways of the auditorium. A grin is on his face, and the perpetual fires of a burning will blaze in his eyes. His skin is darkly tanned, and he wears no shirt, clad only in a pair of loose-fitting long pants, decorated with gold thread.

Aaron puts a hand to his ear, and quietly curses that he can't knock the sponsor out.

Angel looks at Salazar and trembles a bit. She quietly gets off the stool, and then takes it and her bag as she walks towards him. She stops after a few steps and raises her hand.
When called on, she asks: "Can we apply to change teams?"

"Already been covered. We shall see. Though to be honest I think a change of sponsor is rather in order..."

Jared jumps to his feet and makes several grand yet silent sweeping guestures while his mouth moves rapidly, still under the effects of the silence. Many times, he points at Salazar and makes a fist. It could be a declaration of war. It could be a ballad of highest praise. It could be a challenge to end all contests.

The world shall never know.

Salazar smiles, crouching down to look at Angel, a small, kind smile appearing on his face.

"I am sorry for frightening you, little one. I am excitable sometimes, and it gets the better of me, but I assure you I am truly a very nice person. I am a specialist in Life magic, especially the healing and protecting arts. My physique is a combination of my natural Life energy causing my muscles to repair themselves at an incredible rate and natural genetics, I assure you I am not an ogre or anything of the sort. I shall have to buy you some ice cream later as an apology for this, is that okay?"

Jared is unnoticed for now. Salazar is distracted by the adorable.
