Amerup-Earth, 6 trillion years from now. (SG)
« on: July 23, 2013, 11:44:13 am »

So far, my suggestion games have died off quickly, but no more, as we are going many, many, many years into the future of Earth. Nuclear war has caused extreme mutation in many peoples cells, causing a zombie apocalypse that reverted humanity from technology such as genetic manipulation, giving humans a gene that works sort of like magic, to the medieval technologies, and whatever can be scavenged from the past. Most of the zombies have now been killed off, though rogue technologic A.I. beasts remain, along with mutated, or even evolved forms, of modern animals. Continental drift has run rampant, Europe and North America are one continent, and all continents now know nothing of eathother, until the next Columbus travels the seas. Amerup, as the collision is called, is made up of two countries, The New United States of Amerup, and Westlands, which are at war with eachother, N.U.S.A, on the defensive against the aggressive Westlands. The continent is also divided into several regions, Wasteland, Swampland, Woodland, Banland, Coldland, Grassland, and Highland.

Spoiler: Wasteland (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Others (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: map (click to show/hide)

I'll start once people seem interested, no character sheet due to we'll have amnesia about our past from the start.

Classic suggestion game, tell me what to do with the character, and I do the thing you tell me to do.

Well, current prediction only go 200 million years into the future, we're 6 trillion years into the future. pretty big jump. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I've been wrong before.

Anyway, I think this is getting attention, so, let the games begin.

You wake up, covered completely in sand and a pretty bad gash in your head, possibly causing a lack of memory you are currently experiencing, a few supplies lie around you, a backpack, and a bow but no arrows unfortunately. You look up and see that you are in a cave. You hear footsteps above you.

6 trillion years? In about 5 billion the Sun will have gone nova, either completely obliterating the Earth or simply scorching the entire surface several kilometers down into a waterless, airless, lightless lifeless wasteland. There won't be a new United States or any other nation for that matter.

It's in the history segment.

Just don't ask me how it works.

So they managed to prevent the sun from exploding for 600 times its natural lifespan but never managed to colonize further than Mars? In six trillion years? They're still fighting over a ruined and unremarkable ball of rock when there's billions of stars out there ripe for the taking?

I'm sorry, but that takes my suspension of disbelief and snaps it in twain.

I never said we didn't colonize past there, and for all I know, it could have been aliens who nuked our capitol planet. Just don't ignore the possibilities.

((6 trillion years exceeds the lifetime of matter itself, IIRC. ))

More to the point, the Earth Sun Milky Way universe still exists in 6 trillion years?
...Beaten to it, but still.

For the record: The reason the Sun will die in a few billion years has to do with the fact that it's running out of "fuel". Even if you stopped it from dying somehow, it's not going to shine for free; it needs energy from somewhere!

Can we at least start the forum game? Or do I have to change the date to something else?

Clean wound as best as we can. Clean the rest of self as best as we can as a second priority.

Listen carefully.

You get up, use a rag left behind to at least cover the wound, and dust all of the sand off. The sound of footsteps above you is now inaudible due to what sounds like wind near the surface. Then it occurs to you.

"Whatever happened to me was no accident"

Oh, and I like GreatWyrmGold's and Remuthra avatars that change :)
