Author Topic: Urist McEliteMarksdwarf replace your damn XXtrousersXX please!  (Read 685 times)

Um, I have unsuccessfully spent the morning searching the forums for this but now I just have to ask.

My Marksdwarf all stopped replacing the clothing within their uniforms I believ the stopped as soon as they became legendary but Im not certain. I do know for sure that this all worked perfectly a few in-game years ago. All my Marksdwarfs now have XXtrousersXX, XXcloaksXX and some have lost their shoes and socks and refuse to get new ones!

Anyone seen this before? Quick fixes? They pick upp addistianal clothing if I add to the uniform or set it to "over clothing" but as soon as I change back they drop thier new sock and keep the XXsockXX.

Please help!

First, check to make sure you didn't enable the hunting labor on them, mining hunting and woodcutting cause all sorts of crazy uniform issues.

Second, if they're set to replace clothing, try clearing their uniform and then re-entering the uniform choices for the squad, this sometimes un-derps them.

Last option I can think of is to manually assign armor to each and every one of them for each and every offending armour location (in this case, Urist McStrippers pants-with-holes-in-them). Extremely tedious but works almost every time in my experience

PS: Seriously, you must have, like, super-getting-lost skills. You could go missing in a straight corridor and impale yourself on flat ground if I don't tell you where to go.

sweet! the second option seems to work on my test-squad. Now since I was preparing to take on the clowns in glorious hand to hand combat (no trap or drawbridges handicap) I only have 50 fully equipped dwarfs left that need to renew their uniforms... 

Might actually take a couple of in-game years Before they are done :)

Yeah my entire fort was created just for this particualr battle. I have tried and failed with my last two forts but I am far more prepared this time :). 20-25 legendary marksdwarfs (now with footwear and new trousers!) behind fortification and 20-25 legendary maleedwarfs. backed up by warleopards. not to mention the rooms with captured goblins and zombies that needs to be bypassed. Oh and a rutherer gauntlet. I love rutherers. I have a couple of named ones from killing FBs.
