Basically? the Venom rewired his brain to force him to identify Angel as something akin to a little sister on a MASSIVE level.

As in it's entirely possible that if she's in mortal danger he will BERSERKER RAGE to get her out of it.

And he will see nothing strange about this at all.

He wouldn't even recognize his feelings had changed overall unless he REALLY thought about it and even then the venom will tend to make him forget soon enough.

I'm not going to blatantly go against character or anything like that (and anyway Gamerlord died because of a radical morality, not anything else), but seriously Angel took away some of Darnos' free will for the sake of getting three people together in a relationship.
