We might want to try to force us into the European market. While it's fairly small, it's mostly unexploited, thanks to the EU being rather paranoid careful about all kinds of technologies, it's also a particulary rich market, and very intensive/ small scale. Ideal for GMO, actually.

Turn the factory to the production of GMO seeds. (A testing ground, while usefull, is not needed right now. We don't even have the funds to invest in new research)

Narrow the Project Juan candidates list to the most influential people IE presidents, premiers, other high-profile companies CEOs etc.

These people come and go; we need funds to expand the program, then we can think about buying influence with it.

At least my fellow Germans go apeshit insane when they think genes might be possibly manipulated in the future - there's the story of activists trampling down the fields of a (licensed!) research project - half a year before they started growing.

Germans: Don't think things through, always know better, and always want to save the world. Except when they'd have to, you know, do something that requires an actual effort.

• Our contract with Wayland is signed and our scientists is already transported to the lab in Canada. This will save us some money. They will report on any progress they make for Wayland.
• We have successfully started to re purposed our factory in China to provide GMO seeds. But we are having some problems finding the right personell to supervise the process. We estimate that the factory will provide perfect samples for our labs within three to five mounts.
• Our efforts to find suitable subjects for Project Juan has goon very well. We have found two suitable candidates, both very rich. One of them a playboy son, and the other a retired businessman. This will provide a new stable income for RubyCo.
• I am proud to say that one of our employees in Europe,Sam Crober, has exceeded every expectation in our search for a microbiological Genetical engineering team. He has managed to assemble a top-notch team from Scandinavia, Great Britten and Germany. It will take some time for the team to be able to work with eachother perfectly, but we have managed to assemble one of the best, albeit small, microbiological-science teams in the world.
• However, we failed to get any subsidies that we haven't applied for yet. Quite the opposite, it seems like Europe is tightening it's restrictions on GMO products, and is urging other states to do the same.
• Pentex is curious a potential collaboration, but want us elaborate.

We can reveal that RubyCo recently sent one of it's Scienceteam to research weapontechnology in one of Waylands labs. Is this how the new CEO want to bring RubyCo back to it's glorious days? By starting producing weapons, once again exporting weapons to infamous dictatorships. A protest in planned to take form outside of RubyCo's HQ.

Still, we are among the largest bioengineering companies of the world. John Blacke choose to dismantle and sell our weapon factories and research facility. Pentex: The largest Pharmacy provider in the world. Recently they have decided to jump into the bioengineer-industry, setting up a laboratory for that purpose. Located mainly in USA.

TransWorld: The largest bioengineering company in the world. Specialised in breeding animals. There are rumors that the expericment on humans. This has been dismissed by the executive-board. Located in Europe.

Project Juan: 35 years ago, your RubyCo managed to develop a to prolong human life. With the right medicine,  DNA modification and stamcell replacements it is possible to slow ageing to a crawl. An extension of the  Ruby Genetics lab is currently dedicated for this purpose, well hidden from public eyes. The process is currently very expensive and viable for public consumption. The Pentex deal is only for GMO products, and only for some research. Also, try to keep hold of any potential patents. Maybe look for GMO production of medicin

Also, mention some buzzwords to the European scientists. Artificial evolution*, cisgene modification**, genetic redundancy***. Try to circumvent the guidelines that way. That way at least some products can get in.
