I've seen Pom Poko. I know what they're capable of.

I go to see if Twiggy is in.

He's not home, so I grab some more seashells before heading to Nook's swindle shack.

He just doesn't know when to stop does he.

I get into the work clothes he gives me and he orders me to commence manual labour. I have to place a bunch of plants around the outside of his shop.

Awesome.

I head back inside to tell him I'm done. This is where he pays me right?

Wrong.

Yeah I guess I did. Lots of colours and stuff. Can I have some money now?

...

No.

God damn it.

I go to the town hall because Nook told me to. There we meet Tortimer. At first I thought he was a turtle, but judging by his name-pun he must be a tortoise. He asks us a difficult question.

Clearly this is a trick question. The odd one out is the working man, so I believe the answer is the mail clerk.

What does that even mean?

A-are you having a heart attack or something?

Pleased to meet you.

Tortimer.. Toady.. Eh. Close enough.

See you? Like, in your house or..?

Oh okay.

So now its night time. I'm not sure where to go from here. Maybe everyone's home at night and we can go see Twiggy.

---

Found him, but not in his house. I sort of feel like he'd sell us furniture from his house if he was in it. Instead he's outside, wandering around. In the middle of the night.

He asks me my birthday and my blood type.

I didn't even say anything..

Well now I'm completely stumped. The bird wasn't helpful at all. I tried selling the stuff I picked up earlier to Nook but he just kept saying he doesn't sell to employees. This place sucks.

And its cold too.

Have you realized that Tortimer's simply a figurehead? The real leader's clearly that damned raccoon. He's got his mangy claws in every facet of this town. Just think, he has ever single resident of the place in debt, there's... what, like, one business other than his own in town? And hell, just look at the museum. Used to be filled with fossils and such, then Nook came along, and sapped away at the place's economy to the point where they had to sell off that stuff to keep the town alive.

Tom Nook is someone to be feared...

Also, I agree with LS. Get yerself some turnips and play the stalk market. :v

The raccoon dogs own this town.[/mobstervoice]

Heh.

We go outside to see if we can't sell some worthless junk to Nook..

..but first we change our shirt. Maybe he'll somehow be more conducive to trade if he thinks we're not there to work.

What the hell is that?

Its a message in a bottle that washed ashore. I almost missed it on my way to Nook's.

Not really sure how useful it might be, since I don't know if I can craft stuff in this game. It fills a strange slot in my inventory right now so perhaps its a key item? In hindsight I should've seen if I could drop it. Perhaps it belongs to someone in town, however unlikely that may be.

So I make it to Nook's shop and..

What's wrong with you?

Does he really expect me to wear that uniform at all times of the day? In any case, I do get a lead on what I'm supposed to do next.

Makes sense. I check my map and see that there's two houses I haven't been to yet, plus the museum. We already saw the mayor, Twiggy, and Blaire, but we might have to pay her another visit just in case.

Oh yeah, there's also the shop next door. There's a sign with a shirt on it.

I can see them, so I don't know what's wrong. I switched from Photobucket to Imgur, but I know I used the right code when I linked them.

Let's see if anyone else has the same problem. If so I'll switch back to Photobucket. I really don't like Photobucket. >.>

God damn it. I really don't like Photobucket.

FAKEEDIT: Wait a second..

REALEDIT: I went back, and somehow the entire album has disappeared. The internet ate my screenshots.

I'll give Imgur one more chance, and then I'll switch back to Photobucket. You'll just have to be satisfied with my words on that last update. I'll give you the next update now to make up for Imgur's foolishness. :P

Yeah there's nothing to do at the tailor shop. It should be noted that we can sell clothes there though.

Time to go say hi to everyone in town.

Whew! That actually took a while, especially since I checked Savannah's house three times and she was only there the third time.

The owl guy is pretty cool. He didn't have much to say about the town's history though. He said we could submit stuff to be displayed there. He wouldn't take my standard items, naturally. If you guys want we can tour all the exhibits later. I peeked in on one and they actually seem to be quite extensive.

Stitches is so cute it makes me want to cry. He just wants to unpack his pillows so he can sleep. T.T He also seems to have a rather interesting backstory. It seemed like he wanted to tell me about it, but he just talked about unpacking when I asked him to "Tell me Something!". Perhaps later.

The guard dogs (oh good lord I just realised what they did there) are pretty adorable, especially the one on the left. They said there was a Bay12 flag too, and that we could change it. I'll try to go find it if you guys want.

Savannah is totally hitting on us. She thinks we're cute. First day in town and we're already killing the ladies.

Anyways, back to see if Tom Nook lightened the fuck up.

Good enough for me.

Is this job really that important? Should we go check out that museum or the Bay12 flag first, or bite the bullet and deliver Blaire's furniture like we're supposed to?

Yup. Keep in mind that, unless they changed this little annoying feature, imgur tends to delete your pics at a certain point. But only if you've uploaded them on an account and all that...
Anyways, best to get that money-grubbing tanuki off your back first. Then go off and screw around.
