Today is to be one of the greatest days in your entire life for you have been chosen to become the commander of the newly raised Imperial Guard regiments of the world
Volgar VI, these are to be the first of many the world supplies in the name of the God Emperor and to be given such an honor is rare. Your job will be to lead them in battle, guide them in their actions ... even sacrifice them in the name of the Emperor if you must, it will be by your hands that the history and legends of this regiment is to be forged, but first who you are has to be chosen.
What is your name? How did you come to command this regiment? You committed an act of great bravery during the course of battle that changed the tide, turning what would've been a defeat to victory and changing the outcome of the war. For your act you were awarded the rank of Colonel and given this command, along with several medals of honor awarded by Lord General Militant of your theater himself.
You were granted it through the political workings of the Crusade, you were seen as a fit commander and neutral ground for the command of this regiment to be given to. The Warmaster and his council support you as the leader of this regiment, though the various factions within the Crusade may not feel the same.
You were the standing commander of the world's militia/most prominent gang and you were seen as a good fit, a competent commander, well known, and somewhat liked by some of the men that would serve under him. It was simply natural for you to take command when the founding took place.
