Wow. Lots of people wanted to build stuff.
I wish I had gone with Survey.

Build a Machine Factory and staff it with an Expert person.
No notable trade.
Swap the Expert and Skilled people in the Factory and Colonial Center.

I'm willing to sell Machines. Right now, I'm in the market for Basic Goods.

Basic Machine Factory takes 2 Basic Machines and 1 Basic Good, which is what you had. Unless you meant to build something else?
