For more !!Fun!! i decided to start an RtD!
8 player slots, for rolls i'll use d20, the less number than 10, the more fail is in result, the greater number than 10, the more success. If number is less than 1 then !!Fun!! happens
, if it's greater than 18, the additional roll will be made for 'stability check', if it's greater than 10 then action considered great success, if less than that, it's still great success but with some !!Fun!! stuff.
Now for some story and stuff.

The Planes: Worlds/realms/whatyouknow, the small parts of the Omniverse, they can vary alot and be habitable or inhabitable, small or big and so on.
The Subspace: The Subspace is essentially a plane between planes, it's mostly emptiness except for a few places, and it has indefinite size, no one ever explored it fully. It's filled with the essence, which is kind of magical energy that essence creatures are born from and that is required for their life.
Essence Creatures: The only lifeforms of The Subspace, their appearance varies alot but they share common trait of being little bit transparent and the ability to float. Their powers vary but they require essence to life and even more essence to use the powers. The most important power being the ability to create portals between the Subspace and various planes.
The Existence: The city created by essence creatures somewhere in the Subspace, most, if not all, of essence creatures live there and it's pretty huge.
The Problem: Something is causing essence outflux from The Subspace, and pretty major one. With time being it might make it impossible to live for the essence creatures. Due to the vast infinite size of The Subspace it's impossible to find it out from here, the only way is to locate the Plane which is the cause of it.
Essence Warriors: Eight of the most powerful essence creatures were chosen to be the essence warriors, their objective is to find the Plane that is the cause of The Problem. They are also only ones with enough skill with manipulation of the essence to be able to create stable portals to the other planes.
Other places: There are some other places within The Subspace, but not many explored them, the only way to find them is by finding coordinates of them somewhere else.

Obviously you will be playing as one of the essence warriors.
And now, let's get to the character creation sheet, shall we?

Name: Name of your character, obviously
Appearance: Appearance of your character, no limits besides size being roughly that of human, or little bit more if you put many points into consistency, but later on that. There will be way to increase size later on though.
Backstory: Feel free to think up one, but it will generally not affect the gameplay, so in case of none i'll just assume something like "Lived usual life but was randomly chosen to be one of the essence warriors.", remember that everyone is from The Existence and has no knowledge about The Planes.
Class: Your specialization, adds starting bonus to skills and bonus items. In case if it's something i don't know of, add short description.
Starting Inventory: You can start with one custom weapon or tool, ammo/charge/whatever for it if needed, custom armor, and custom usable item, please be reasonable and don't select nuke launchers or something like that, otherwise the essence cost will be way too high.
-Stats-You have 20 points to add into any of four stats below, they start at 10 by default
Consistency: How much essence you are able to keep within yourself, increases maximum amount of essence and plays the role of strength in many cases.
Locomotion: How good you are at controlling your body, decreases essence used for movement within the planes and plays the role of agility in many cases.
Focus: How good you are at interacting with stuff around you, decreases amount of essence used during many kinds of interaction as well as using the powers, boosts the powers too.
Emotion: How good you are at interacting with living beings and communication.

The Essence and You: Everyone starts with 1000 maximum essence, plus 100*Consistency. Essence is both your hp AND your energy. Not only you will lose it when damaged, but it is used for all kinds of tasks, even for simple movement, and in other planes you will lose some essence per turn passively, so be careful. On a plus side essence regenerates 2000/turn when in The Subspace.
Interaction with The Existence: The city is pretty huge, so it's hard to count everything that you can try to do here. But some of things you definitely can is stuff like searching/Asking for hints, visiting shops, activating side quests, etc.
The Portals: When in the Subspace, you can try to create portal to the other plane. You need to give it a name, maximum 10 symbols long, and that will choose the destination plane. Maximum 4 portals can be active at same time. You can deactivate the portal created by you to free up space for another portal, portal can't be deactivated though if there's any other essence warrior on the other side. Portal will be automatically deactivated if no one used it or on the other side for an period of time. Note: Only essence creatures can properly use those portals.
Skills: You can't be good at everything right from the start, right? There are penalties when just starting with the skill, but when trained enough, it will have chance to give bonuses. Think DF. The class determines starting skills.

Name: The Shifter.
Appearance: A large number of approx. seven hundred metal "bones" of various shapes and sizes. The smallest are roughly a centimeter long, the largest being about a foot and a half. Normally takes a humanoid shape with seven razor-sharp fingers/claws on each hand. The head area can be described as a roughly egg-shaped "cage" of metal with a glowing, blue flame inside it that expands to cover the head whenever he exerts his command over the essence. He can suppress the light from the flame at will, if he needs to.
Backstory: Was a rather elusive thief, stealing odd objects such as pendants or talismans, storing them who knows where, keeping a few on his person. Then he was chosen to be an Essence Warrior.
Class: Metal Shifter - Can alter the world around him, bending and warping objects, and shift his physical appearance around rapidly. Has an affinity for metal in particular, of any type. Has an extreme affinity for alloys, of any type. In other words, steel is better than iron, iron is better than wood.

Name: Ted Carver
Appearance: a heap of assorted rags normally assuming the shape of a person, Ted Carver is a creature clearly formed in unusual circumstances. The rags are multicolored and varied in shape, make and origin - exotic leathers, patterned cotton cloth, linen rags all have found their ways into Mr. Carver's body.
Backstory: born of a spectacular, simultaneous essence and wardrobe malfunction in a rather dinghy clothing store on the bad side of the Existence, Ted, after being summarily evicted from the store on the grounds of endangering several patrons' peace of mind, has spent most of his life wandering the streets of the Existence, staying well away from any people with fragile dispositions for fear of persecution. After a rather quiet life of skulking through streets like some kind of cloth ghost and scavenging odd bits of cloth to repair the damage a homeless pile of fabrics inevitably accumulates, Ted felt a calling one day, a desire to move beyond all this. Where that was, he had no idea. That is, until the strangest idea came to him. He just has to take space, grab it just right and real tight, then twist, and look! A portal! Wonder how he did that. Also, wonder if there's any cloth on the other side.
Class: Cloth-Based Shapeshifter - can alter the shape of his body at will by utilizing fabrics added to it.

Name: K'ull Daweik
Appearance: His body is made of medical tools; stethoscopes, tongue depressors, syringes. His "face" is a medical dummy's head for students to practice CPR on with a surgical mask on it.
Backstory: Sort of an outcast and psychopath. He is the "doctor" of his small group on a small area in the Subspace, but they only go to him for help if they really, really need to.
Class: Psychosurgeon - Causes pain and mental trauma on enemies and heals others. Sorta.

Appearance: A red haired human in brown leather
Backstory: "Lived usual life but was randomly chosen to be one of the essence warriors."
Class: Thief

Name: Kyle Johnson
Appearance: A lamia, (Upper body of a human with the lower body of a snake) with brown hair and eyes, his scales resemble that of a coral snake.
Backstory:
Class: Merryman. (Stand and deliver, for I am the bold deceiver!)

Name: Praet - 047
Appearance: A gangly, utilitarian looking robot, of sorts. Has pale blue and white paint, which time has chipped and scratched away. His eyes- or cameras, as the case may be- have a dim yellow glow.
Backstory: One of many Automated Semi-Intelligent Soldierstm used in one of the many wars in one particularly violent but advanced universe. An odd little coincidence(or fate, who knows/cares) in the creation process of this particular bot made it into an essence creature. Having the entirety of the universe(and beyond) open to it from creation, left its mind somewhat different from the other machines in his make. For one, it was actually capable of thought other than mindlessly following orders.
Class: Riflebot

Name: Zirg
Appearance: Visibly more transparent than the average essence creature, Zirg seems to be made of a hazy, mist-like blue substance in the shape of a human. The only irregularity in his form are the glowing white 'eyes' on his head that can be seen easily even in total darkness. Despite looking like you could easily put your hand through him, his body is very much physical. He's usually clad in a loose dark robe and hood that obscures him and casts his face into darkness, except for his eyes, of course.
Backstory: A mysterious and rather knowledgable figure that previously ran a large library before this essence warrior business.
Class: Lorekeeper

Name: Tedno of the Wastelands
Appearance: Looks a bit like a hobo ghost of ages long past, definitely humanoid and might have been human at one point. Absolutely lacks personal hygiene, but no matter what he does, he does it in style.
Backstory: Formerly mercenary who did it for the thrills, decided to do something pro bono and here we are.
Class: Theatralic Gunslinger
