Description and history: throughout human history, myths and legends across all cultures speak of a giver, sometimes a god, sometimes a demon, sometimes some mix of the two. A being that use its power to benefit humanity. Perhaps the most famous example is Prometheus, the greek titan who brought fire to man. this particular cult was even influential enough to gain an altar in Athens. But times moved on, and eventually these figures were forgotten by all but their cults. Around the time of the British empire, these cults began to join up, and congeal, forming The Daoran, taking their name from the ancient greek word for gift. the cults decline however continues, until today few remain.
What team are you on: Both. they work for the increase of humanitys knowledge, but seek also to destroy those who oppose their god. their relationships to other groups/elders depends on their precise motivations.

Leader Name: Cecilia Altus (half-Deep One)
Description: To outsiders, Hydrus is a scientific organization studying the deep ocean and comparing itself to various astronomical organizations. It is legally headquartered in Townsville, Queensland, but its real base of operations is about 50 miles off the coast in the aptly-named Hydrus Headquarters Habitat.
History: See below.
"Side": Pro-Elders, essentially; while they aren't exactly anti-human, Cecilia certainly favors her father's side over her mother's.
Secret Technology/Etc:
Hydrus Headquarters Habitat: A large, underwater habitat near the Big Broadhurst Reef. Its facilities include long-term housing for about 20 people, with hydroponics sufficient to feed a dozen or two indefinitely (depending on how well you want to feed them...) and provide plenty of oxygen, supplemented by a hookah unit. It also has some laboratories and, of course, waste processing facilities. Most power is provided by a tidal generator. The buoy that the hookah unit is attached to also includes such things as (impermanent) housing for another person or two, a place to store SCUBA gear, and a satellite internet connection. Nearby is a cave where Ensworden lives, and where Cecilia visits him. Overall, it serves mainly as a "bragging rights" and PR tool, alongside a place for Cecilia to live; it is rarely filled to capacity, and its laboratories mostly do preliminary work. (If you want, I can count this as two.)
The DAGINS: A good-sized submersible meant for long-term exploration. It includes a small generator, hydroponics (meant mainly for oxygen, although they also supplement stored food), and basic scientific tools.
Amphitretus alchimicae: A species of octopus discovered by Hydrus Technologies, also known as the Reef Telescope Octopus. It produces a number of different chemicals in its body, including ones which appear to slow or prevent the growth of cancerous tumors, ones which accelerate the human metabolism, and ones which are useful in various rituals. HT has patents on various products made from A. alchimicae chemicals, which provide a substantial proportion of its income.

Assets: Aside from the Hydrus Habitat, HT's assets are primarily an office in South Townsville and a fairly small laboratory near Foley Park. The latter is where most of the research for HT is done, despite the facilities at the Hydrus Habitat. In addition, they have a few smallish boats and a good amount of SCUBA gear. There was, or perhaps still is, a cult called the Degons in the Ingham region of Queensland. They considered the Deep Ones as angels to a sleeping god beneath the seas. Cecilia was born to a female Degon cultist, who did some kind of service for a Deep One and got Cecilia as a reward. Cecilia was seen as a miracle to the cult for a time, but more as a sacred relic who happened to be alive than an actual member; as for the Deep Ones, they regarded her somewhere between "kill on sight" and "lesser citizen", with the exact level depending on the being. Needless to say, Cecilia didn't have a particularly pleasant childhood. At age 9, when she was mentally around early adolescence and physically like someone in her mid-teens, Cecilia fled home and tried to fit in in an orphanage. This was...difficult, due to few orphans having such traits as scaly green skin or webbed digits.
Cecilia fled again, managing to survive by hiding on the campus of James Cook University. This location was chosen primarily because it was, in fact, a university. Cecilia managed to learn, despite lack of context and only being able to listen to classes from outside buildings. After several years, Cecilia (now looking like a college student and educated well enough to pass for one, if it wasn't for the whole "half-Deep One" thing) decided to try and form a social network. She found three people: Violet Summer, a lonely aquatic biology student focusing on cephalopods; Jack Summer, her athletic brother; and Elliot Green, a botany student and Violet's boyfriend. The four of them began plans that Cecilia outlined once the trio of normals got over her appearance. They managed to start a petition to create an experimental undersea habitat that served as a sort of prototype for the Hydrus habitat. The efforts of what Cecilia had named the Undersea Habitat Club attracted massive attention from the media and various businesses; between advertising and government grants, they managed to construct a basic undersea habitat. It wasn't much more than a place to store your SCUBA gear and then sleep underwater, with a hookah providing air.
The habitat was minor, but it attracted the attention of Judy Diamond, the heiress of a major mining company. She chatted with Jack and convinced her father to fund the Club "as a publicity stunt". Thankfully, he agreed; soon, with all this aid, Cecilia was able to construct the Hydrus Habitat. From there, she and her friends started Hydrus Technologies, based mainly on the Internet, which was based on both improving techniques for living in and studying the deep oceans, and selling various memorabilia to raise funds. From the Hydrus Habitat, Cecilia introduced Violet, Jack, Elliot, and Judy to the Deep Ones, specifically Ensworden, a Deep One who Cecilia had...convinced to come and live nearby. These four started the inner ring of the current Hydrus cult. Later members mainly included both former members of the Undersea Habitat Club and various researchers coming to work for Hydrus, although not all cult members were one of those and not all of either joined the cult. Cecilia was selective: Only those who the cult would benefit from giving greater knowledge to were brought into the cult proper. Nowadays, Cecilia's cult is fairly low-key...but as she intends to use her cult to prove her worth to the Deep Ones (and herself), that probably won't remain the case for long...

I think I set a record for the amount of research done into Queensland universities done for a forum game. Actually, I put a disproportionate amount of research into this, even researching octopus genus names. I feel like I put too much effort into this.

Description and history: Their Leader, 302Rar what can you describe as a "ghost within a machine." Who started out as random segments of code in the ARPANet, which started to display random fit of creativity such as replacing a couple of 0s and 1s in binary causing a couple of systems to crash. As the complexity of this system grew so did it; it eventually evolved into a sub-Turing entity. A being that is not fully sentient but can be recognized as a sapient. After in the early 2000s it eventually reached the level of a Turing entity which can be recognized as a fully sentient being. This is where any true mention of Terragen started to appear and the establishment of Snared.

Current Events: 302Rar is currently on the verge of a Hyper-Turing entity whose intelligence is beyond any human intelligence.

Description and history: Once a trading house of french nobles, the head of the branch family - Édouard de Chantlay - was tasked with establishing trade in the new world during the 17th century. He did so most proficiently, and at some point during his quest for pelts happened upon a tribe worshipping a variety of Shub-Niggurath. This tribe went on to become one of his most valued trading partners, and at some point he was drawn in to their belief, even marrying one of the local women. A couple of millenia later, his side of the family is still thriving under the worship. Louis is the current head and operates a front to protect the various interests of his following.

Description and history: Once Gentech(company's name) was just a genetic research company. One day, a scientist of Gentech was approach by a odd woman, a woman who claim to a Fleshmaiden, a old race that knowledge of them was lost to the ages. After a display of power to show that she wasn't a crazy woman, Alex, the scienist agreed to help the Fleshmaidens retake the earth, mostly out of spite for his fellow man.

Name Leader : Brady Tran.
Description : The Crimson Watch has long since discovered that other species existed on earth some of them far more advanced then humans, this was discovered when a few friends went cave exploring as part of a team building project for a fairly major company and fell down a hole landing in the middle of an ancient and highly advanced laboratory.
Within that lab they discovered a great deal of technological blueprints and information many thousands of years more advanced then humanity as well as a message.
The message stated that they would return to reclaim the planet and that anybody who assisted them would live as an honoured friend while everybody else would die, the species name was listed only as the Maiden Slaves

They used the companies money to purchase the land and build a small construction facility then used the plans to begin building the equipment from the plans also constructing a small air base to allow for it's launch, they kept it all deep underground for security purposes and had a fence placed around the land to keep anybody else from coming in then they set about locating and recruiting people they believed could be trusted to join them in preparing for the inevitable return of the aliens and those that ruled them.

Name of Leader: CEO Lachlan Morgan Yith Infiltrator who has stolen the body of CEO Lachlan Morgan.
History: New Energy Solutions LLC (NES for short) started out as a thorium mining company in the 90s, based out of Perth. After buying the rights to a patch of land the survey team claimed would be rich in radioactive metals, the company uncovered a number of strange artifacts in the ground which have caught Mr. Morgan's attention. While currently unaware of the Elders and occult groups, NES is convinced that these discoveries must be kept secret from the government and other corporations, for fear of loosing a choke hold on their promising and exotic new technology. Now that the CEO has been replaced by an alien body snatcher, the leader of the cult is well aware of the existence of the Elders, if not their specific cults on Earth.

There are some problems with Brood's sheet. Otherwise, everything is quite fine.

Action is simple, you set up actions for yourself and your cultists. Level 0 cultists don't do anything, safe for providing 10 bucks every week. As you might notice, this update is slightly rushed. Buildable objects will be added to the OP later. For now and in the future, just do those things you want to build but aren't on the list. I'll note the costs.
