Just a question, which part of Skyrim, if we know, are we in? I think when we escape, we should make our way to morrowind, because of the many ancestral tombs in the country. If not that, Elswyr, because of the tombs there as well as the fact that corpse preparation is much easier in that sort of environment and our mucus should help us deal with the sand (as long as we don't dry out), plus I would really like to travel to elswyr.

Read the books in the game on corpse preparation. Plenty of reasons to visit both places. We should also try to shoot for making mummies, possibly embalming them in salts from atronachs bodies. We may be able to work up some interesting combinations, by soaking linen rags in alchemical agents. Future plans.

Morrowind should probably be avoided, given the whole "Dunmer fanatical hatred of necromancers" thing. We might do well in Black Marsh given the dampness and (presumably) large number of relatively intact corpses, though I'm not sure how well we'd survive there. But honestly, Skyrim is a pretty damn good place for necromancy: plenty of corpses, plenty of examples of necromancy to study, the only local mage organisation doesn't worry about necromancy, the cold preserves bodies, lots of isolated locations and fascinating history stuff (dwemer, nordic ruins, dragon bones, etc). Plus, with the Civil War, Dragons, and potentially Vampires (plus the Dovahkiin), there are going to be even more corpses around soon.
Also, IIRC Elswyr is Dominion territory, and I don't think that would work well for us.

Regardless of the era in Skyrim we're in, it'll be too difficult to travel to other countries. Considering that practically everyone in Tamriel will recognise us as being a member of a race that released a near-apocalyptic plague on them hundreds of years ago, we wouldn't make it out of Skyrim. Hence, we need to be very careful indeed.

While we search for stuff, gurgle a little sea ditty about the pirate life. Be sure to chuckle to ourselves about that.

We're in the Fourth Era, concurrently with TESV:Skyrim's events, so right now the Aldmeri Dominion (known for their genocide) has a strong presence in the western half of Skyrim. We are in a Thalmor jail. That implies that we're in Falkreath, Markarth, Morthal, or Solitude. We're actually able to escape, so that eliminates Markarth (because No One Escapes Cidhna Mine, Except That Dragonborn Guy). Out of the remaining three, my money's on Solitude.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
Search for Magicka potions, then attempt to remember our Recall spell. That's another one of the spells we have proficiency with - we teleport away when frightened.
+1, assuming we have a Mark somewhere. Preferably somewhere that isn't the Coral Kingdoms.
+1 search for potions, and anything else useful to our current situation.

[4] You head into the barracks and look around for potions or anything else helpful.  Nothing.
[19] The office yields better results.  An unlocked chest yields two each of potions of restore health, magicka and stamina, and in addition you find a coin purse.  You yank the dagger out of your belly and down a healing potion, which stops the bleeding near-immediately and in seconds is working its alchemical reactions in your body, knitting your flesh together almost before your eyes.  You also drink a magicka potion, and enjoy the tingle as your reserves are somewhat replenished.
You close the office door behind you as you ponder your next course of action.  There are no other doors or windows in this room, and the elves are sure to check your hiding spot sooner or later.  Your recall ability is more of an instinctual danger reflex than an actual spell, and besides, you don't have a mark set.

Potion of Restore Health, Potion of Restore Magicka, Potions of Restore Stamina (x2), Glass Dagger and Gold Coins (x48) added to Inventory.

So we're in Castle Dour Dungeon...

Hurry back to the cells and look for one with a shadowmark on the floor. Enter it, and climb through the crumbling wall.

Yeah, hurry back through the garrison of guards and magicians currently chopping the other prisoners into tiny neat pieces and setting them on fire to staunch off the bitter Skyrimi cold.

I support this action :P

Let's not do that. Remind me of the layout of the area again.
This is what i have in my head.
       __
      | c|
 ___|  |
|x__  s|_
      |  |b|
      |_|o|

where x was our starting point, c was a second block of cells, b is a barracks, O is our current location in the office, and s is slaughter of prisoners. Across from the office and barracks is two locked doors?

peek out the door of the office. If the coast is clear, cast open easy lock on the doors across the way.

As for leaving Skyrim, well, that's a long-term goal.
Step a: Rediscover Mysticism.
Step b: Rediscover Almsivi Intervention.
Step c: Cast it.

-1. Dark elves will kill us on sight, both for necromancy and being a Sload.

I think If we hope to be a necro we should leave skyrim. We might want to get to a beast race place, plus it is probably pretty difficult to raise corpses that are already the servants of some dragon cult, fighting even in death. I feel like we are out of our league. Would have been good for our interests like a decade ago though. The best we can hope for is scraps from the fallout of the war between the imperials and rebels. My vote is still a staunch Elswyr ASAP.

Just pointing out that there is an easy (relatively) way to get out of Skyrim in a hurry.

Leaving aside the fact that your other points are quite debateable, Elsweyr is Dominion territory, and they both dislike our race, and dislike us specifically (though I'm unsure how well they can tell Sload apart, so that last one may not be that much of an issue)
