After comparing physical damaging weapons, I could conclude the best "side weapon", compared to the others is the crossbow. While the "main" ones on the other classes like, pier, slash, hack are the most decent. For example, all the bludgeon weapons have 0 crit rare, tossing axes, just a few have, and a really low chance, and the list goes on. Meanwhile crossbows gets huge damage AND crit rate, I mean, there is even  a killer crossbow. :p

If you consider the fact the "side weapons" of the other categories also have lower accuracy, yeah, not too different. I was comparing to the less used options, and they usually have some extra damage, but lower accuracy, are usually heavier and yet have 0 crit. At least most of them.
