I thought Lucas was going to the castle as a "voluntary ambassador" from Osngaria in an untimely moment when the invading forces just took it and possibly resulting in tragedy (or that's what the sages thought).

As a young mage student in Osngaria Lucas was fascinated by the mixture of power and history that is dark magic. By the time of graduation Lucas was already superior to his shaman peers, and started putting together a group of people to explore the Forsaken Lands to unearth the ancient secrets it may hold.
However, the sages, maybe afraid of what he could find or turn into, decided to exile him. Lucas was tricked and fell into a trap, where his dark magic couldn't face the light magic he was attacked with, and left him vulnerable. From that moment he vowed to become the most powerful mage ever, and his first step was to develop a method to resist the light magic that beat him.

I was kind of lazy.

Osngaria was HULK SMASHED by Exsten in the same day that Exsten started invading Durhiel. Unless you were sent weeks ago, in which case you being caught unawares of the whole issue could be a (hysterical) thing.

Wait, which castle were you planning on having been sent to? Castle Durhiel is a lot closer than Castle Ulfijan after all.

NINJAEDIT: That's a really weird spot in the bio. I can't see why a group of Sages would try to exile you rather than allow you to go waste your time in the Forsaken Lands. It's common knowledge that there is nothing but sand and more sand out there.

News travel slow . He got exiled about the same time Osngaria was just getting smashed, but after the smashing he decided he wouldn't come back anyways or something like that, I thought it wasn't that much time between the smashings and that Lucas would be traveling while Exsten was finishing Osngaria.

Oh and sages are just like that, when they see a powerful shaman gathering a group they just get very paranoid  .

There are reasons why that wouldn't be accurate, but I think I'll save that explanation for when you guys pass through Osngaria. Or if you are in Castle Ulfijan when King Ansel comes to call. :3

I was actually talking about adding his new Personal Skill to his pastebin, but yeah, looks like the extra damage was missing on the attack.
