I know... I fully expect the next star wars villian would have been named "Darth Badguyis".

Honestly... darth sidious... darth grievous... among those Darth Maul wasn't.... too bad I guess... compared to the others.

Like I said, only the first two count, and Darth Vader is just the dude's new name, it's not a title or anything.  Everything else was a carbonite dream.

How to cure gaming industry in couple easy steps :
1. Stop preordering games.
2. Stop hyping games that have nothing to show except pre-rendered hype trailer.
3. Always distrust corporations.
4. Always rage at criminal DLC , microtransactions, pre-order bonuses and other semi legal practices.

Some brief Googling did suggest that Lucas declared the Force Unleashed full canon (which doesn't seem to be the case post-Disney) though I didn't find a solid quote.

Alright, I've digged around a lot.

Lucas never states that the game is canon (or G-canon, which is the level of Star Wars canon that people usually mean by "canon"). He had some creative input in the game, the definition of G-canon is "the movies and that kind of stuff that Lucas himself writes and provides to Lucas Licencing", and people twisting that into somehow meaning that Lucas made the game with his own two hands and therefore it's canon.

There are entire threads dedicated to this, mostly devolving into "did!" "did not!", but that's the gist of it.

At least you could stick the letters "in" in front of "Vader" and "Sidious" and get words... which had no relevance to their characters, but still.

Here's a peeve:

System Hegemony

To play most games requires buying into a closed system owned by a megacorp (Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft for consoles, just Microsoft for PC). If you want to avoid furnishing the suits, your gaming options are limited.

All I know is that videogames have a very interesting situation

Whenever they make a point to be progressive...

They end up being far more regressive.

Tomb Raider

That was progressiv? I though they made it purposefully for horrible-grisly-murder fetishists.
