((Retconning dialogue!))
Hestia merely floated on, looking to Nuriel as if to say something, but turning back and following Anima.
"What did I say?
"Hm...Jack Strafe...why does that name give me a headache? Oh, Hi Legion. I'm Nuriel. I'm one of the awesome firey gals you saw burning the crocodogs. The one with wings." Nuriel followed, of course.
"Kyle, you amuse me. And yet you irritate me with how idiotic you can be sometimes. Try not to offend the man."
"Hey, he's not that bad...""It been a month since I been here last. What the event? Layars declare war on Earth seem unlikely so I doubt that. Humans and Layars team up on Legions, the race legions, not my ship, maybe, I can see that happening."[/color]
"More aliens? Sweet. Are they li--What are they like? Reptilian, mammalian, cephalopodian, arthropodian, tar--oh, hello Mister Legion, I'm Angel Carlson. How are you? Hopefully Nuriel didn't put you off too much..."
"We are kinda weak once other intelligent species come into the mix."
"Compared to races with abundant magic and interstellar travel? Of course."
(just retcon every now and then)
((Agreed.))
"We cannot assume that Ash is the true mastermind, Kyle. A mere human to lead a potentially xenophobic race of warriors? Not likely, though powerful she may be. There is another behind her."
"It is a possibility, and since we lack the data to suggest any other possibility..."
"Then it is no snake. It is a naga.
"Hydra. Naga are Indian snake deities from, um, India."
"And what else can we do? Six magic users, a fairy and a living ship cannot hope to stand against their army, and their technology shall overwhelm the normal human army."
"It's like I said in Selina's house, at least I think it was there: We need to gather an army."
"That's where your wrong. We haven't thought of using the weapons that humans can't use on each other. We have thousands of bombs and missiles, railguns that shoot objects so fast they bend the air around them, tons of guns! You just aren't thinking big enough yet! Really we only need small effort on our part. If we evacuate all the cities and turn them into death traps, we just hold up in underground bunkers and when they find us, BOOM! We beat them like a red-headed step child!"
"Putting aside questions of how effective that would be, how would we evacuate the cities? And, at best, we destroy a few starships or fighters. We don't drive them off, we make them angry."
"Kyle right, humanity far from doomed. There will be death, that a certainly, but humanity coming out the losers is unlikely..."
"There's something you're not telling us. Why is humanity so special?"
"Then we can mount a counterattack. We just need to wake the sleeping giants."
"It should work better than it did for Yamamoto."
I consider you all my children. And a mother does not abandon her children, not let them die, and let them face destruction."
"Thank you, Anima. I'm glad you are so...thanks."
"That won't do anything. Alliance won't act in a war between young races. It's part of what shape a race and make them what they are and even if that rule didn't matter, they would have to come down on the Layar's side since they are the closest to being Alliance's members."
"What kind of Alliance is this?"
"Oh! um... I... I just thought of a way to... to..." Selina whispers to Anima
"To help... Angel c-control... Nuriel..."
"Tell me! Tell
Don't you dare. I don't know what you mean by 'control,' but I don't like the sound of it..."
"'Even in Heaven, there will be red tape everywhere."
"Knew it."
"One...billion......
....we need to wake the giants, and fast."
"Bah, I can OW! Why do I keep getting these headaches? Ow ow okay."Silver walks out of Legion and waves at the army, then heads over to talk to them.
"May as well get let them know what's happening, guys. Anyone want to come along?"
"Heck yeah!" Actually, I think I'll
No! You can't Stop that! I'm sick of you ARGH!" Angel fell over, clutching her head.
As she recovers, she notices...
A single tear runs down her cheek when she remembers her dad.
"...Selina? Are you okay? And if you're okay, can I see one of those bracelets that are supposed to
No. Don't you dare."
