Vampire Curses/Secrets Differences?

I can understand why you can have multiple were-creature curses in a world, I'm assuming each were-curse represents a different type of creature, werewolf, were-bull, were-camel, were-hedgehog, and so on... but why is the same system in place for vampires? is there really a difference between vampire_curse_1, vampire_curse_2, and so on?

Toady plans to make diffrent vampire curses. Some will be weak to sunlight, have diffrent strenghts and weaknesses, creating diffrent bloodlines etc.

Oh, I see... future adventurer goal: kill all vampires in a world and collect vials with their blood for each different curse, then use the vials to infect dwarves in fortress mode.

It seems to be the same case with the "secrets of life and death" there are multiple secrets in the world but they all seem to do the same: turn you into a necromancer, are they planning different necromancers too?

well maybe not different necromancers per saybut definetly other secrets to the world. i have seen mods down there that add pyromancers and the like using the secrets

Oh noes! Does this mean we'll end up with sparkly vampires in the future?
