I would buy so many packs of Magic cards, you don't even know. Be rollin' in Black Lotuses.

My ambitions are quite weak, I know, but you all took the good ones, and also killing people for some reason.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

1993? Well I guess I would kill Hitler before his rise in power. Flawless plan.

I played a card game about time travel. It was caused Chrononauts or something. The general idea is you have to achieve one of 2 goals before you all create too many paradoxes.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't go with the Nader plan. Al Gore easily wins the 2000 election with Nader out of the race. Nader did a really good job for a 3rd party candidate, especially a Green Party candidate.

the only problem I see with everyone's plans is the wording of the question.  It's implying we are ALL waking up tomorrow, so really now we'd end up massively changing the future through the dramatic increase in stock of google and the likes, as well as a few random politions being offed, ect ect.  So I suppose my question to you all is, a group of say 40 odd people with knowledge of the next 20 years possible future, how much do you think they'd affect it?

I could invent youtube!
We could all get together and make sure the internet is open-source heaven. Of course, finding one another would be difficult. I could probably find RedKing and FreeFormSchooler, nobody else.

I guess we could have a joint agreement to meet up on an early forum. Bay 12 will come into existence in 2001 anyway.

You can imagine what it would be like the very first day the bay12 forums opened.

My god, it'd become the biggest growing forums in the entire world for about an hour... and then pretty much nothing for a few years as we slowly take over the world.

Man, I'd prefer it if I could go back to the 70's, so I could go down to Lake Geneva and be one of the first people in the world to play D&D.

Well, I guess in 1993 I'd at least have the opportunity to see Gary before he dies. Also, I'd write to Douglas Adams and tell him to see a doctor before he tries to start exercising.

Also, I really like the concept of a bunch of one-way time travelers who all have go back at the same time. Especially if they all know each other and possibly have differing agendas.
