Yeah, that's the general Human racial due to not usually having any other cool powers. They should total to 350 while yours are 300. If it were me, I'd put it in Stache or Spi since you're one of the melee tanks, but it's up to you.

No, you pretty much got the mechanics right. I'll agree it's a bit wonky. How about this: When Bethany Evades an attack, any successive attacks targeting her incur a -30 Hit penalty until the end of her next turn. That would perhaps fit with the disappear in a puff of smoke theme.

Most of the melee types do indeed have an advantage in terms of raw power (including Bethany), but their abilities come at a far greater SP cost.

I can abide by that. At least there's an upside lol

I could probably handle eight-ish, but I've learned not to start a game with grandoise scale. Best to measure it out and see how much I can handle before I start going grey over mis-counted attack boni.

Well, look at the bright side. At least you don't have to fret about conditionals and what they may or may not do in this game, at least I don't believe so with what I've seen.

Well, at least not a crazy amount of conditionals.

I shouldn't fault you. I've tried doing one of these things myself, and it's a lot of work. I'll stop complaining.

Alright, I'm going to go with the following for the starting party. It was a lot harder to choose than it normally is. Sooo many good applications...
Mind if I ask what it was about my character that made it not chosen so that I can fix it for later/my next character after my current waitlister gets added and inevitably killed?
